People think that Bamford is related to the family that owns JCB - He is not, his father is an architect.

Whenever I have heard him interviewed he sounds like a decent bloke.

I cannot imagine that we are really interested in signing him.

Christ, if his father is an architect, why the hell has he designed a son that keeps falling over?

Haha…El Ghazi should have really clouted him….was probably an architectural technique to fall down untouched

He's not a bad player at all but he's a massive cheating eejit sometimes and has a very twattable face.

He is, distantly.

I know Bamford is persona non-grata on here but I actually think he's a canny player when fit which is the problem. If Emery sees something in him, I'm all for it.

I think it makes sense to bring in a striker who is proven but won't get arsey about not playing every week. And the H&V volte-face when he comes on to score the winner at SidJameses would be hilair

Patrick Bamford has 26 goals in 110 Premier League appearances and turns 30 in September.

He’s literally had one good season in the top flight, in a Leeds side that was all-out, gung ho attack. Most average strikers would also have scored a load that season with the chances they were creating. And he still missed a bucket load that a good striker would have converted.

He’s also a grade A twat.

Always thought he had the look of a public school bully about him but when I’ve heard him interviewed he comes across as ok.

As for his good season we did contribute massively to that with his hat trick against us :-) 3 very good goals, 3 very bad bits of defending
Bamford is intelligent and comes from good stock as Deano would say.
He improved under Bielse drastically and Emery would be able to rely on him if it wasn't for his injuries.
I hear that we are after couple top young Spainish players from La Liga.
Monchi is working his magic and be bringing one or two in.

Emery going back to Villareal for more players is a distinct possibility.
As is a late move for Ferran Torres

Bamford has had, what, one decent-ish season in the premier league in his entire career (20/21) and turns 30 in a couple of months. Would seem an extremely weird signing.

I would like to see us to get more of a target man option in as or attackers don’t have much aerial threat. I can see more teams start to drop deep against us next season. Bunedia can’t be our main goal threat in the air, very good though he is!

He has. Only surpassed by Fernandes who is an outlier.

Bamford is utter shite, did any of you see him play for the last 2 seasons? The amount of times the ball strikes his standing foot from crosses at his age is criminal. One good season, and mostly he's played in championship.

I don't think we need another center forward. We only play with one and Ollie is doing the job well enough and Archer deserves a chance to deputise. If we loan Duran to someone with a recall option due to injury then i think we're sorted, at this stage anyway. So if we sign Bamford, as uninspiring as it would be i wouldn't really be greatly upset. I wouldn't expect he's play much, just another option on the bench. Maximum 2 year deal though.

I can think of a million reasons not to sign Bamford, and none whatsoever to sign him. Got to be a load of made up bollocks, this would be up there with the Harewood and Heskey signings.
