That would be the Tammy Abraham who is recovering from an ACL injury and probably won't play before March at the earliest. Just a story to fill a space.

It’s just the gossip column isn’t it?

And I imagine that next summer it's pretty easy to see all four parties involved being happy with a deal that saw a straight swap, Abraham for Lukaku.

There's no reason at all that couldn't happen.

When Jan transfer thread starts this guy, Serhou Guirassy,  has to be top of wanted list. He’s free scoring in a very ordinary Bundesliga team:

He's the guy that was called something else before because of passport issues isn't he?

Apparently he turned down Chelsea in 2020 prioritising playing time instead.

Anyway, the third guy in the list would kick up a stink the Premier League, for sure.

We're already being linked with players for January. Dani Ceballos for £18 million, and we're after Neto too, apparently.

Too early?

Neto is some talent, have always hoped we'd nick him

The fourth guy wouldn’t be much use, he looks really thin and malnourished

Liverpool want him if Salah goes in January. Hopefully he really loves living in the general Birmingham area and doesn't fancy moving house.

Wasn't particularly prolific in previous seasons looking at his stats.

Sheffield United rumoured to have put in a 10M bid for Archer. We are not the only team putting cheeky low offers in for players.

So they value him at less than half a 2020 Rhian Brewster.

I know we’ve done well with the odd sale in the past few years but for Liverpool to con them out of £20m for Brewster was massively impressive.

Just catching up. Also Jordan Ibe and Dominic Solanke. Thick end of £60m for those three.

(Thread necromancy)

Funny how careers diverge. Two examples of failure from as recently as last summer, one of them now with a chance of a trip to a tournament with England and a £60m transfer, the other made his National League debut yesterday for Ebbsfleet.

I really like him, he always looks dangerous and even when Wolves are not playing well you always think while he’s on the pitch anything can happen.

However, while we have Bailey and Diably I cant see us going for him. He’s also going to cost someone a huge amount of money.
