Don't forget this much better side conceded 7, which imo is far worse than the 8-0.

Aston Villa
01 Friedel
02 L Young
05 Dunne
25 Warnock
29 Collins
04 Sidwell
07 A Young
08 Milner
19 Petrov (Downing 63)
10 Carew (Delfouneso 63)
11 Agbonlahor (Beye 71)

I was at one of those 7 or 8 nil defeats, I forget which one, but the windows of our coach got smashed on the way back by a load of lads who run out of a pub whilst we were sat at some traffic lights. It was a bit of a grim day all round.

That 8-0 team is horrific. That side is way more primed for relegation than the one which actually went.

Before I enlarged it I thought it might be a Villa-Penarol scarf but I think I'll give it a miss now.

That's unlike you BV because normally you are drenched in half half regalia ;D

Now now, you know full well that the only half and half* I'll entertain is a good pint of black and tan. :)

*If Villa play Celtic in the Champions League I might be tempted.

The Guardian don't. Once again in the preview of our game we are just a foot note while they wank on about some Chelsea player who might score or something. Fuck off.

It wasn't written by that eejit Glendenning, was it? Bloody Birr midlands-accented bogger (no offence, Brazillian Villain - you're more...Brazillian).

No offence taken as my accent isn't very Irish, more mild scouse with a hint of Brummie and Northern Ireland. I'm still a true culchie though. :)

I've got a sneaky feeling this is going to be a good convincing win.

It is worrying but i am really looking forward to this and am confident we will give them a game if not claim a victory

I still have nightmares about the Lamberk 8-0 game

I had to look it up but this was the team - OMFG

22
B Guzan
31
C Herd
6
C Clark (c)
32
N Baker
34
M Lowton
25
B Bannan
15
A Westwood 56'56th minute
30
E Lichaj 56'56th minute
26
A Weimann
14
B Holman 79'79th minute
20
C Benteke
Substitutes
1
S Given
7
S Ireland 56'56th minute
8
K El Ahmadi
12
M Albrighton
16
F Delph
21
J Bowery 79'79th minute
27
J Bennett 56'56th minute

Wow.  I’d forgotten just how abysmal that era was.  That team!!!!

A really shite team!
That was the 12 goals of Christmas wasn’t it, when we lost 0-4 at home to Wigan in the same few days?
I remember going to the pub to watch the Chelsea game, I still smoked at the time, I’m sure i went out for a fag at 2-0 and when I came back in one cigarette later it was 5-0 or something similar? Grim days.

Yep 8-0 Chelsea, 4-0 Spurs, 3-0 Wigan. Swiftly followed by the Bradford Semifinal disaster and Milwall in the FA Cup. Let’s call it a difficult couple of months.

I was at the 8-0 game, I walked out at 6-0 with about ten minutes to go and missed two goals and a missed penalty.

Not feeling good about today, think the only thing we'll come back with is some BS Footy ITKs from his unicorn Chelsea insider. I hate it when the press start talking us up, it's always followed by a defeat.

That's the first of his 5 needed chances before he will get a goal
