I Hate International Breaks
« on: March 23, 2023, 03:51:28 PM »
Just when we're on a bit of a roll and things are looking well set for a good run till the end of the season  we have an International break to screw us over. There are potential upsides I suppose, Kamara possibly available for the Chelsea game but more than likely it will be another few games he'll miss because that's what happens to us. Spuds will have a resurgence of form most unexpectedly and for no apparent reason. Rashford is too injured to go, is he, is he really?  Bet he plays in ManU's next game.  And Harold will reach some record or other which thinking about it is where Totteham will get their lift from.  Roll on April 1st.

I hate them too. I can cope with the lack of football, but not the tedious debates on who ought to be in the England team.

I'm so bored I almost downloaded Football Manager. But then I'd have to muck around with the database to make football less hateful (I'm not dealing with the shit in fantasyland like I have to in real life) and then there would go the weekend. And the following week. And the fo - well you get the idea.

I end up finding other things to do or watching anything that's on except England. I just can't get into this England squad at all and certainly not the manager. I tend to try and find Argentina games now to watch Emi and now Emi's.

Ill watch the match tonight for something to do and because my son is kind of into it. But international weekends are generally souless affairs, its not like summer, when you have nicer weather and are full of pre season hope, its just an irritation, its gets in the way of the Villa….and listening to Southgate drone on, gawd!!

Qualifiers should be done in tournament form
get them all done in month slots rather than a week here and there

I did say his next job will be in the MSL, I wonder if he's knocking on Beckham's door, screaming 'Gis a job!'.
