Only a friendly, but that's going to make a few people sit up and take notice around Europe.

Emery is going to have a bit of a headache after that game. So many players looking good. Wasn't expecting Coutinho to come back and play like that.

3rd own goal?
Yeh. Don’t think the cross was going in.
Kellyman would have tapped it in if the defender had missed it.

Well it's a long drive home for the Lazio fans.
All roads lead to Rome, but they all go via the Ray Hall interchange.
Well they know what to do. When in Walsall....

On the penalty taking issue. Given we're probably not 100% sure what our starting midfield is going to look like, it makes sense that Watkins is still the designated penalty taker. Of all the players, bar Martinez, he's the most likely to nearly always be on the pitch.

It clearly wouldn't hurt to have the entirety of our midfield options practicing penalties in training though, and eventually give the responsibility to someone else if still deemed necessary.

Good run out, not sure Lazio put that much into it other than a trot. But we played some nice stuff

Two Italian league titles ever, they're basically Burnley, Derby or Spurs.

Most famously known for "Goooooooaaaallllllllllazioooooooo!"

Not at all. People think that was the shout but it wasn’t.

But the point is people thought it was that, hence it being famous.

Exactly.

Only thickos thought that!!!

Yeah normally I wouldn’t take too much from a friendly. But there’s such an obvious structure and purpose with Emery you can tell he uses it as practice to hone our play, rather than just an exercise in building fitness. It’s a great indicator of development.

Quote
Golaço!

The show became well known in popular culture for a shout of Golaço!, Portuguese for "fantastic goal", featured at the start and at the end of each show. The sound clip is of Italian television football commentator José Altafini, a Brazilian who played in Serie A for AC Milan, Napoli and Juventus.

"Golaço!" was transcribed as "Golaccio!" in the show's titles. However, James Richardson later added: "I heard Steve [DuBerry] who'd produced the music for the show say he'd wanted it to sound like 'go Lazio' because of Paul Gascoigne presenting it and so had added a twist to the soundbite."
