Quote from: Pat McMahon on July 24, 2023, 08:04:50 PMThat used to kill me when I lived in Shanghai. The Saturday 5.30 kick offs in winter meant a 1.30am start over there, but at least I could lie in on Sunday morning. The worst were the Sunday 4pm kick offs as that was midnight in China. Going to bed deflated and trying to sleep at 2am on Monday morning was really difficult. I was too furious to sleep at all after the 2010 Phil Dowd disaster.I feel you. It’s much the same in New Zealand, but a couple of hours more offset. 3am kickoffs are a nightmare.

But even so something should be done about this, for the sake of third world equivalence etc...
The plan today is not to stay up until 2am on a school night and then wake up absolutely shattered and keep nodding of at my desk on Thursday .
