It really was very comfortable but with some very good individual performances thrown in. Mcginn and Luiz were superb and Moreno is getting better.. I thought Billing for them was decent. One to look at?

Billing is a decent player but he wouldn't get anywhere near our midfield for me.

Agreed. He’s decent, but not an upgrade on any of the starting players and at bench a squad player. We need to be buying players that ultimately relegate our current starting players to the bench.

They sorted out that Konsa was a weak link, only a brilliant challenge be Mings prevented a certain goal, for me that was our only weakness at the back. Watkins while not at his best still put the effort in, Luiz and McGinn both played well, we still have problems out wide, we don't have a winger that can beat his marker. It's notable that we are finally playing as a team, and Luiz in particular seems to be enjoying himself. This manager could become a Villa legend.

We played well and deserved to win, but they looked like a decent team for parts of the game. It may be a cliché, but there are no easy games in this division these days.

Super John MoM.

Three valuable points. Decent performance considering Buendia, Bailey and Watkins didn't turn up. Mings, McGinn, Ramsey, Dougie, Emi, Cash, Moreno and even Konsa all played their part. Despite not being at our best we were rarely troubled thanks to the defence and midfield.

The less said about the penalties the better. I no longer have a clue what does and doesn't now qualify as a penalty, it's like the rules change every week.
Is that the same Bailey who assisted the first goal, Watkins who assisted the second goal, and Buendia who scored the third goal? 🤡

Let's just say, some are more open than others and want improvement . One contribution each don't make a summer. Still, if it makes you all happy, we were all fantastic. Bailey, what a player! Watkins, just give him half a chance! Buendia, he may be 5 foot seven but he's made of granite, players just bounce off him. Champions League here we come!

Who needs a transfer window, we're perfect. Nothing less than €100m each if somebody wants to buy them. Imagine their value after good game.

Was a comfortable win.

Without creating a huge amount you could see in first half we had that extra half a yard of speed and thought in most areas of the pitch and we should've scored more but wasted the final ball too often overplaying.

Then when game was in a lull we sprung into life last 15 minutes and could've won by more than 3.

Very nice touch when Brooks came on and got a big round of applause from all of the ground. Didn't realise today was his first time back on pitch for Bournemouth since his cancer treatment. What was the round of applause midway through first half for?

It was pleasing on the bus home to realise that any of Cash Mings Luiz Ramsey and McGinn could have been a decent shout for motm.

add to that Martinez Moreno and you can see where we need to upgrade to kick on.

. A guy in the Lower Holte held up a banner reading ‘Murdered’ about Dalian Atkinson.

Saw that. "It wasn't a 3-0 type of game." Well, it was, and it could have been 6. 6-1 if I'm being generous.

Just watching the highlights from Villa TV. Bailey actually went past their number 5 to cross the ball for Luiz to score. I thought I'd imagined it.

He did very well there to be fair. Didn't do much else after that though.

What was the applause for, around 20 minutes into the game?
