And yes no Solanke or Billings. We have made mistakes like that in the past. Generally never touch relegation stock unless they are standout super stars.

I hope the club contacts PGMOL over that shit penalty decision. It might not have ended up that important in a 3-0 thrashing, but that’s not the point. They need to get it right, and if something like that stops us winning the league next year I won’t be happy.

Thought Tyrone and Dougie were superb, but the performance that pleased me most was JJ's, great to see him getting back to his best. 8 of our last 11 matches are against teams in the top half, previously that would have concerned me, it's no longer the case, we are now quite capable of beating any of them.

It was great to see David Brooks, back on a football pitch, I wish him all the best for the rest of his career.

The Bournemouth manager was right about it  never being a 3-0 game. It should have been 5-0.

I think if we had scored another one or two earlier on we could have made it a bucket full

We saw what it was like in the last 10 minutes when we went 2 up it was constant pressure all over them because the game was won the pressure was off about conceding.
If that had happened earlier we might have got a heavy score line

Here’s one for the reffing nerds. For the disallowed goal, assuming the whole of the ball hadn’t crossed the whole of the line, would it have been chalked off for Mings having left the field of play before touching it?

Ramsey, Mings, McGinn, Luiz, Cash, Moreno, not a fag paper between the lot of them, when was the last time more than half the team had standout games
Add to that Watkins and Big Emi also had good games i thought

Baileys Assist was top class to be fair, the rest of the day he was piss poor
I was really hoping that Traoré would sparkle and put a claim in for a starting place over Bailey, but he was just as shit probably worse

Can’t have everything, but our best 90 minutes of the season so far

Yes I was, 100%. I do feel I’ve taken the bait though but I thank him for allowing me to display all that’s positive about our club.

I wouldn’t. He’s a young striker, we shouldn’t start confusing his role.

What's annoying about the penalty VAR decision is that every time a ball is blasted from point blank range at one of our players it seems to be given as a penalty.

I said I'm happy to play that way if we get results. Everyone was bored in the first half it was awful and the atmosphere was the same

I wasn't. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have been critical of Ramsay in recent games, where I thought he was anonymous. He did far better yesterday and his goal was excellently taken.

Buendia I still think is the only one of our attacking players who can truly make things happen. He's generally always looking for a cute through-ball or a clever bit of play. I guess it won't always come off but I love that we have a player with the ability to see those options.

Boring first half, terrible atmosphere.
Second half much better, I'm not enjoying the football at all but this manager has his ways and we are getting results so long may it continue.

There were loads of empty seats yesterday all around the stadium. I've said this before you just simply do not see empty seats in 95% of premiership grounds like you do at Villa Park when it's not a 'big team' season ticket holders not turning up is still counted on the attendance but it's quite interesting

Where were the 28,000 in the upper away blocks yesterday? desperate for a slice of the action. I thought they'd be banging the ticket office doors down to get one of the golden tickets

Me and my son are two if the 28,000 and we tried to get tickets. So for us at least it was crap administration rather than lack of demand.

A similar incident to yesterdays penalty VAR debacle has just happened in the Sheff Utd v Blackburn FA Cup game & shock/horror, the referee missed it, but VAR did its job & highlighted it as handball to give Blackburn a penalty.

It comes to something when you are hoping beyond all hope that these consistent officiating "errors" are nothing more than just pure incompetence...
