If we had been playing any decent team we would have conceded another 4.
I think so too. Overall our defence isnt top half, Cash rounded again and again first half.  Our midfield though seems good and very good at the moment and then we have Watkins as our strikerforce.

Just back. Long day, but who cares with another away win. Emery made the right changes at the right time to change a draw into a win. Class manager at last. UTV

Would have been a long day for the 12 of you mate. Great result and I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

This is impossible to know though. It seems to me, we were only marginally better against Brighton away and Spurs away, both games where we managed the game rather than played fluid football.  Everton aren’t very good granted, but a team fighting relegation and one managed by Dyche, will always be difficult. A win, a one that ended up being comfortable in the end, was really important after the last three games.

and yet they beat Arsenal a few weeks ago... A good win for me.

A welcome win and keeping a clean sheet was important  and very much needed. Hopefully that will do us some good.

I don't know who the commentator on motd was, sounded like he'd won a raffle to have a go at it.

It was a good win but still giving up too many chances and good positions to the opposition, but don't care about that at the moment we just needed the win.

Nonsense. That’s football, you can play a team off the park and lose. You sometimes soak up the pressure and steal a win.

I would hope the one that Mings cleared off the line wouldn’t have stood anyway for the blatant push in the back by Tarkowski on Konsa, which is why Konsa was on the ground in the first place for the ball to rebound off him.

Playing a relegation threatened team managed by Sean Dyche at their own ground was never going to be either easy or pretty. I was impressed that we stuck to instructions and continued to try to play rather than hoof it and gradual lay got on top and deserved the win. McGinn was my man of the match but also thought Ramsey showed he’s getting some form back. Congratulations to Watkins too, scoring in 5 successive games is impressive and suggests he in particular is benefiting from working with Emery.

Matched them for intensity and our extra bit of quality showed in the end.

Fantastic win. Well done lads.

Really good win. Any win away is good but against a team with new manager bounce and that manager being someone who grinds results out is particularly good. Didn’t see it coming.

The things is that yesterday we gave away 15 shots. If you regularly give away 15-20 shots in a game, like we were doing in the bad runs that led to Smith and Gerrard getting the sack, you'll lose more often than not. A great result yesterday, but we didn't play well for an hour and still need to tighten up in midfield and defence. Luiz and Kamara are both lovely on the ball, but not very defensively sound. Onanda and Doucourre got past them both several times.

Bloody brilliant save by Pickford from Ollie’s header.
