As I said in the match thread totally the right selection to start with and then excellent subs. Never doubted Unai🤥

Second best for the first hour but the penalty changed momentum completely. Excellent second goal.

Clean sheet and 3pts. Exactly what was needed, and hopefully leads us in to a good long run of fixtures which we should get a decent return of points from. Could realistically be looking at renewing passports.

Obviously this being Villa that's not going to happen. But, you know, it's nice to pretend.

It’s not for us to set the world alight away from home against a Dyche team fighting for their lives

A pleasing win, 10 points off the third bottom team.  We need a big summer and that's what Purslow said he's expecting.  Lovely goal from Buendia and good see see Ollie netting again.

Yes, very poor match from both teams overall but 3 points and we’ve stopped the rot so, really pleased about that. Thought Ollie was mom today. Good penalty and relentless running.
Still a bit worried about the amount of yellow cards Martinez is getting and, if he doesn’t stop this time wasting, I’m fairly certain he will get sent off soon.

Great result! Well done Villa boys and Unai!
4 away wins out of 5 for Emery.
Just need to improve the home form and that will come under our great manager.
Ollie scores again! The lad is on fire!
It’s good to return to having a clean sheet that I know Emi, Tyrone and Konsa are capable of.
UTV!

It would be good to at least be in the conversation for Europe this season, with an outside chance depending on how the LC final goes etc going into the final few weeks of the campaign.

Very similar to Everton’s game v Arse the other week. Eventually we were made of sterner stuff.

Best game McGinn has had in a while.
A scrappy game that we’d be really pissed off with if we had lost.
It doesn’t matter how you win, especially away games. That’ll do.

Story of the two Emis. One kept us in the game the other finished it. Ugly game overall but the three points are massive.

Terrible terrible game but we have enough this season to get wins from these scraps at least.

Everton surely getting relegated so that will be our last trip to Goodison unless we get them in the cups next season. They're exactly like we were under Lambert.

Kamara was good in our midfield today against the land of the giants, we need 2-3 others in key areas with his composure on the ball. McGinn became much more influential second half aswell.

Let's see if we can back this win up v Palace and then the table becomes more interesting again.
