Im going for a 4-1 Man City, and a perfect hat-trick of:

  • Being in the game right up until some awful refereeing decision / var injustice
  • Grealish scoring and no-one knowing quite how he should react (including himselve)
  • Sky fawning over how Man City are "right back in the title race"

Resulting in me drinking too much and being in a foul mood for the rest of the day

I can't see Grealish bringing himself to start. It would be too peculiar all round if he played whole match. I think he'll politely be on the bench.
And there's the Arsenal match Wednesday for him to be looking at.
He won't want to play against his own team today. I don't think he be in the right frame of mind.

Wonder if Dean Smith is going today? Sometimes Jack invites him.

Villa till we die!

Think we will win this one, we play better against less defensive teams.

I think Grealish will score or win a penalty or something today alright. Still I think we won't be too far off at all today. McGinn coming back into the team will be positive. I don't think we can afford to carry Bailey from the start but I expect Emery will give him another chance. 2-2.
What do you make of Haaland vs Mings.
In the game at Villa Park there were a few tussles.
One time Mings tossed him aside.
And he also did a stupid foul on him .
Can expect a battle
Did you see Godfrey of Everton basically give a running battle in a 1-+ draw recently.
Maybe thats more of a Gerrard thing but Emery must have a plan for Haaland.

Who may even be rested and roatated for Arsenal.

Mings to pocket Haaland and get him sent off

I am afraid the prevailing atmosphere around cheating bastards antics has made this a very difficult match for us. They were obviously going to rectify last week's defeat  at Spuds but now have the added motivation of "they all hate us mindset" so it's not going to be pretty.
Yeah that's what worries me.

Too soon in the Emery revolution to see us getting a result here. Like last week, I want to see evidence though of his style on show - a defeat here not the end of the world at all, anything more would be a moral victory over those cheating bastards

I met Will Ferrell at the Etihad half an hour ago. Dean Smith isn’t here, Footy. I can see Grealish’s private box from where I’m sitting.

Come on Villa. A club that stand for what was good in football. Wouldn't it be brilliant if for once we leaned into that rich tradition and slapped down the club that has become the symbol of greed and all that's wrong with the sport. I'm probably asking too much, but what a day for it...

Greasy ****** playing for them.

So much for not wanting to play against 'his' team, eh Footy.

Come on Villa, chop him down, and fuck Man City.

Mings not in squad?
No reason given on the BBC site, just reports he's replaced by Chambers...
