How many believe that Man City will be sanctioned in any way deserving of what they have done over ten years?
Again it will come to pass that if you are one of the so called elite clubs the most that will happen is a stinging rebuke and a hefty fine, they make examples of clubs lower down the pecking order but will shrink when faced with powerful entities.

From what I heard earlier on a podcast the consensus seemed to be that they would get a points deduction rather than being relegated. I expect something like a 20 - 30 point deduction and a hefty fine. They'll obviously still survive and then it will be back to normal the season after. The EPL can say they 'did' something whilst everyone else knows it isn't enough.

This investigation is up until the 2017/18 season but would they have really been doing any different in the years after? I know this has taken ages, which is why, but an investigation would surely need to be started for the intervening years also.

The reputation washing through the buying of Football clubs is just another example of how the governing bodies do not prepresent what is best for the game.
I am desperately clinging to a small hope that for once a club is held to account and the penalty is so severe that it will send panic through all clubs that have given the finger to rules and regulations.

If we had beaten the Foxes I’d be a lot more positive going into this game. However they need the victory more than us to keep the media wolves from the door - oh no we’ve lost 2 on the spin ! Empire crumbling ! Pep will walk ! Ad nauseam.
 If we’re 1-0 up, a VAR or dubious penalty to let them back in. Then MOTD wholeheartedly agree it’s legit as the ping of their banking app sounds. Followed by a rule change by the FA the next morning so no other club can repeat the injustice.
The PL hasn’t suddenly become righteous and championing fair play - their gratuity has lessened or stopped and blue moon called their bluff.

Villa on my dad's side, who've been Villa since the beginning as far as we can tell. My late grandad was on the Villa books, and was even offered a contract as a promising young centre-half, but decided to go into the Navy as it paid better. Now those were the days.
