Was just a request to do something rather than turn a blind eye like many others. You do what you do pal and for what you believe in.  ::)

Fuck off you piece of shit..... 1 would rather a hundred clubs like City over a club like yours. Go back to your Moms spare room and wind some other people up - tosser
Bit harsh

How many believe that Man City will be sanctioned in any way deserving of what they have done over ten years?
Again it will come to pass that if you are one of the so called elite clubs the most that will happen is a stinging rebuke and a hefty fine, they make examples of clubs lower down the pecking order but will shrink when faced with powerful entities.

From what I heard earlier on a podcast the consensus seemed to be that they would get a points deduction rather than being relegated. I expect something like a 20 - 30 point deduction and a hefty fine. They'll obviously still survive and then it will be back to normal the season after. The EPL can say they 'did' something whilst everyone else knows it isn't enough.

This investigation is up until the 2017/18 season but would they have really been doing any different in the years after? I know this has taken ages, which is why, but an investigation would surely need to be started for the intervening years also.

"Forget what goes on at the top of the prem". Blimey, they really are fully invested in that Sky narrative that all us perceived numbers-maker-uppers care about them.

That's it in a nutshell. Just when you thought City supporters were the most ungracious in existence you get a reminder that they're still amateurs compared to their gloryhunting neighbours.

I long for the days when kids automatically followed in the family tradition of their choice of football club, when growing up not one of my extended family, which went into many dozens, followed any club but Villa. It seems to me that once a minority of clubs became all powerful, winning almost every competition, the need of many kids to identify themselves with a successful club overcame tradition. For many years the Premiership has not been a competition, it has been a coterie of four or five clubs battling it out between them with just, very occasionally, A leicester appears from nowhere, shines, then just as quickly fades. The reputation washing through the buying of Football clubs is just another example of how the governing bodies do not prepresent what is best for the game.
I am desperately clinging to a small hope that for once a club is held to account and the penalty is so severe that it will send panic through all clubs that have given the finger to rules and regulations.

Even if they win, I’d rather be second than a cheat.

Tradional family life as well can not be so apparent for all children.

If we had beaten the Foxes I’d be a lot more positive going into this game. However they need the victory more than us to keep the media wolves from the door - oh no we’ve lost 2 on the spin ! Empire crumbling ! Pep will walk ! Ad nauseam.
If we’re 1-0 up, a VAR or dubious penalty to let them back in. Then MOTD wholeheartedly agree it’s legit as the ping of their banking app sounds. Followed by a rule change by the FA the next morning so no other club can repeat the injustice.
The PL hasn’t suddenly become righteous and championing fair play - their gratuity has lessened or stopped and blue moon called their bluff.
I’m hoping it effects them on the field as they start looking for a get out and points deduction ala Juventus.
1-0 to the Good and Emery is King.

My old man has no interest in football and I'm a Villa fan thanks to my big brother, who was taken to his first game by our uncle and cousins against Liverpool and they're all reds. We won 3-1 and he still hates them more than anyone else (Liverpool, not our extended family)

It takes all sorts.

My nan and grandad were both gloryhunting Villa fans from the early days, when we used to win everything in sight, I get my love of Villa from them. My dad hates football, and my uncle, their other son, is a Wolves fan. One of his sons is a Villa fan, the other bizarrely, Sheffield Wednesday. My kids are all Villa, whether they like it or not.

Villa on my dad's side, who've been Villa since the beginning as far as we can tell. My late grandad was on the Villa books, and was even offered a contract as a promising young centre-half, but decided to go into the Navy as it paid better. Now those were the days.
