I admire optimism - I'm normally optimistic about us - but they're going to batter us.

I was letting myself get a tiny bit optimistic about this fixture a couple of weeks ago, but the worst possible thing that could have happened to us was for them to lose at Spurs.  I can't see anything other than a convincing win for them - though I hope to go I'm wrong.  If Leicester's press can score four against us, christ knows what City's will do.

I'd rather Joe scored than that oversized gargoyle. Decent Villa will turn up and lose gallantly.

Sorry, but fuck that.

Quite right.

Jesus, can you imagine?! I hope he never scores again, least of all against us.

Think it's a great time to play them. Pep was very spiky recently and in view of the latest smears I bet he's fuming. 3-2 us

Yeah no, no sir, actually I hope we just load our right flank with as much concentrated violence as we can find.

Champions of Europe you'll never sing that.

Cheating bastards you know what you are.

City's going down with a billion in the bank.

Uh oh you're in trouble, PL came around and burst your bubble.

Blue goons, you celebrated too soon, you thought you'd won all the cups, but now you're seriously fucked.

Exactly. Fuck him. He can fucking rot, and I hope they get relegated, can't shift their squad and he has to play in League 2,with a 100 point deduction to start the season.

FootyVill has called victory in this in a bold early move. Should he be correct, he'll have the freedom of the parish.

A few things stand out to me as indicators of victory. And more keep coming. These are nothing but signs. Something I always take note when the universe is telling you something. Man City were particularly bad in their loss to Spurs. They appear dissatisfied, and you can tell they are thinking about something.
Man City's players are clearly upset that they lost perhaps their best or second best player, Cancello. Something doesn't seem right to me, and you can see it in the way they're playing.

In addition to the gut feeling I've had for quite some time that Emery will win us this match.

Man City has a game against Arsenal on Wednesday, February 15th, so they will rest and rotate players.
The most recent information we have indicates that Man City are in a lot of trouble off the field. If they are unable to field some players who have contracts that violate the rules, how will this affect their performance and even their playing personnel? (That last item is more conjecture.)

The fact that we have not defeated Man City but have the rest of the top 6  (and have progressively been better at playing them every match) since rejoining the Premier League provides additional support for the three points.

To defeat Man City is typical Emery. He will embrace the challenge wholeheartedly and have a master's plan.

According to my hypothesis, a win is likely following an unexpected loss to an underperforming team while we were in form because the next outcome will likely also be unexpected.
