I genuinely wish you luck for the result on Sunday but for you not for us.
To me it would be more important that you make a scene off the pitch so we can all show them how shallow their ‘success’ has been.

One of only 2 times I’ve ever caught the match ball was at Man City, in the old Platt Lane stand in the lane 80’s (the other time was at Stamford Bridge). And the only time a police horse has ever run over my foot was on the pitch at Maine Road, after Tony Coton had played a blinder and helped knock us out of the Cup.

So now we're being given lessons in morality from a Manchester United supporter.

Was just a request to do something rather than turn a blind eye like many others. You do what you do pal and for what you believe in.  ::)

Not gonna lie, I'm a United fan but hope you boys put up some kind of show at the Council House on Sunday to show the Bitter Berties that cheating will not be tolerated.
Banners would be superb or simply booing or turning your backs as the city team emerges or is read out over the tannoy. Sky would definitely get the cameras on this and the Berties would be seething. Maybe even a kid holding a sign with "Pep - can I have your other pay cheque?"  ;D
All premier league clubs should be letting these fraudster cheats know that their cheating days are over and they need to serve the highest penalty.
We're counting on you!

No, they absolutely wouldn't.

He's polite and making a point. But you know this can only escalate quickly.

So a manu fan wants a stand to be taken to highlight that cheating will not be tolerated.
Oh the irony!

We're not going to have a high press and will be very cautious in our approach keeping it tight for the most part and hoping to pick them off when they are pressured to go for a victory. A draw would be nice.  Can't see us getting pummeled like a few have intimated.

Isn’t all success shallow, to a point? Everything is just a combination of circumstance, skill and luck. Some years a team has it, some years it doesn’t.

Winning trophies is the ultimate goal, but if all the substance of supporting a football team came from winning things, 90% of football fans may as well give up. But we don’t - we go every week because there is so much more to it than that.

The second a club starts believing that they have a right to their success is the second it starts losing its grip on reality. They become arrogant. Just be grateful that this has never happened to your club…

I hope they throw the book at Man City, but what Villa fans do on Sunday will have absolutely no bearing on what the outcome is. If you think the Premier League is in any way influenced by what fans think, you haven’t been paying attention for the last 30 years.

I'd rather Joe scored than that oversized gargoyle. Decent Villa will turn up and lose gallantly.

Sorry, but fuck that.

Jesus, can you imagine?! I hope he never scores again, least of all against us.

Yeah no, no sir, actually I hope we just load our right flank with as much concentrated violence as we can find.

Exactly. Fuck him. He can fucking rot, and I hope they get relegated, can't shift their squad and he has to play in League 2,with a 100 point deduction to start the season.

All of this. The negative parts, anyway.

If that oily fuck scores, I'm likely to try to climb Mount Fuji, naked, with my laptop, before hurling it into the crater.

I despise Grealish. I despise his existence :D

Oh the irony!

ManU and their supporters coupled with self awareness isn't the best combination. I have found a few good ones though.

Coming back with anything more than nothing will mean the sportswashers have failed to beat either our men's or women's teams in the league this season. Which will be nice.

I feel exactly the same about man utd's practically Sky-sponsored success throughout the 90s and 00s.  With the greatest of respect, a supporter of man utd coming on a Villa forum to moan about another club's lack of ethics really does take the biscuit - your club is a huge part of the problem as well. (I'm pretty sure Villa fans know how to vent their feeling about such things, too.)

Any other clubs supporters counting on Villa to do something better be prepared for what we've been accustomed to. Being let down. It's a beating incoming and Man City fans gleefully singing anti PL chants.
