Is it though? We had Kadan Young on the bnech for weeks and never saw him play so I'm not sure this is all that different.If Emery wants to use 1 spot on the bench as a way of rewarding players for training well (or similar) then it's fine by me, even if it looks a bit weird.
I guess he rates Sinisalo and wants to integrate him into the squad, although he doesn't quite trust him yet. Maybe he will be our number 2 goalie next year. Bench looks pretty good actually, although pity K.Young isn't on it.

I wish someone in the media would ask him because there is literally no need for it. If you don’t trust Olsen that you need to add the kid, don’t put him in the squad and add another player.
