Didn’t follow the game in the most part, got in the car to find out Southampton had scored, followed by, according to 5Live, much protesting from our players then it’s finally ruled out, not sure what for?
Looked at the score on my phone in the shop and Ollie had scored.
No clue how we played, whether it was deserved or not but a great 3 points and that’s, I think, 3 away league wins on the bounce. Moving on up, get in there!!

The southampton player trod on Ramseys heel as the cross came over, it was a clear foul no matter how many people call it soft.

Yep. The co-commentator on my telly kept going on about a nudge in the back, he spotted the other foul on about the sixth replay. Then I hear Dawson on Sky saying it was a soft nudge in the back, the clown.

1st "double" of the season. Always nice, especially against a team we usually struggle to beat.

When was the last time we managed 3 away wins on the bounce in the top division?
Great work.

First three games of the lockdown season.

If a goal is chalked off, does a players yellow for "complaining" to the ref about said goal not get chalked off?

good professional away win
Nothing spectacular going forward, Martinez was immense, Saves and inspiration.
If I was a sad saints fan, I would have thought the Ramsey foul for the disallowed goal was a bit harsh, but tough shit
3 deserved points

It;s lovely to be looking up the table instead of looking down it.  Well done Villa.

Cracking result! Pleased for Watkins scoring. Emi Martinez a colossus in goal! 3 away wins from 3 under Emery. UTV!

Utterly cheated by the worthless cheating ****ing ****s officiating today.

Villa cheating every time they got tackled got them the three points despite being by far the worst team we’ve seen at St Mary’s this season.

 Utter ****ing scandal.

Surely the worst team they have seen at home this season is Southampton...  ???

One of the responses from that Saints site. They seem completely oblivious to the fact that there were a couple of Villa pens that could have been. Certainly one of them. They whine about Watkins being offside, despite not being. And they all happily ignore the fact that their player not only pushed Ramsey, he also kicked the back of his ankle... Talk about being one eyed, lol...

I have had the displeasure of chatting at length to a couple of Saints fans while we went through our decade of disaster & the smug arrogant wankerness from them during that time makes me quite pleased that they are struggling. I wouldn't be unhappy to see them down.

No, because it will legitimise dissent.

To be fair I reckon all forums are the same, full of one eyed twats. I read the rest of that thread and I am baffled by why they think Watkins was offside when he clearly wasn't. Every team in the country has fans that say 'the refs are always against us' and I always eye roll. I bet there are fucking Man City fans that even say it. I think some refs are weak but I don't think there are conspiracies.
