When was the last time we managed 3 away wins on the bounce in the top division?
Great work.

Further proof that it wasn't because of the players we were so shit under Gerrard. We may need some strengthening but we have seen that this side is far better than the utter fucking garbage being served up earlier in the season was all down to the manager and coaches.

A win is a win, but boy we don't like to do it easy.

Bailey was anonymous, Moreno struggled and I lost count of the number of times Buendia gave the ball away.

Kamara and Martinez our best players, with Ashley not far behind.

Jammy win, but you need those to climb up the table. I thought Ramsey was abysmal closely followed by Bailey. Watkins looked sharp considering his recent injury and he came alive in the second half. Easily MOTM for me.

Coutinho is so far gone now that we probably need to cut our loses. Something isn't right with him and he hasn't contributed anything notable in months.

Desperate for attacking options, both buendia and Bailey were so poor. Ollie ran himself ragged and the difference with him and ings up top is night and day.
We look a proper team, thought mings was superb

Goal aside, I thought Watkins was dreadful. Buendia not too bad, Bailey absymal again. Coutinho doesn't offer anything so we really need to strengthen our options in the attacking areas.

Didn’t follow the game in the most part, got in the car to find out Southampton had scored, followed by, according to 5Live, much protesting from our players then it’s finally ruled out, not sure what for?
Looked at the score on my phone in the shop and Ollie had scored.
No clue how we played, whether it was deserved or not but a great 3 points and that’s, I think, 3 away league wins on the bounce. Moving on up, get in there!!

The southampton player trod on Ramseys heel as the cross came over, it was a clear foul no matter how many people call it soft.

Cheers Paul, not seen it yet but Danny Murphy thought it was a clear foul, Chapman and the commentator at the ground indicated it was a soft decision. Oh well!!

I think we're relatively safe from relegation now.

Didn't we have two stonewall penalties before they "scored"

16 points out of 7 games and still not in top half is a right pisser

Shows how utterly shit Gerrard was.
If you think we even managed to get 3 points out of the 2 games with Danks as caretaker.

Not sure how that was scrappy or dour?
We dominated the whole game…..some of our play in possession is sublime.
It may not always result in a shot or attempt, but some of the passing to retain the ball, move the opposition around and get ourselves out of tricky situations was just glorious.

We are on our way.

Great win - much the better team, controlled the game.

Passing the best I have seen from us in ages - but we really need some more attacking options before the window "slams" shut if we are to continue this good form, and push for Europe.

Shows how utterly shit Gerrard was.

100%. Had the easier fixtures too.

Also a reflection on Fulham, Brighton and Brentford's form. You can't catch them if they're winning too. So what's happened is the table has condensed and Liverpool, Chelsea and even Spurs have all been reeled in. Really tight up there now. Asking a lot, but carry this form on for a month and something will give and the table would look very promising.

If that doesn't happen it's okay and we look forward to a season untainted by Gerrard.

Enjoy  8)

Tbh the vast majority of the comments seem to be a fair view. They were shit and we were a bit better.

For twenty plus years I have watched many of the so called 'top 6'  teams win games like that.

That wasn't feckin jammy. it was a masterclass.

We controlled the game and could step up a gear whenever we needed to.

We are a work in progress, but by God, we are progressing.

Onwards and upwards.  :)
