I have found  myself wondering  just how good this Kamara kid could be. He was immense  vs Liverpool and just as good today.

Just looked on BBC sport.
Conte interview 06:15, Unai interview 03:57. Seems fair and balanced as they are a world super power.

Sorry, I meant London team.

I am eating this MASSIVE humble pie still after saying the lads would get battered today. It was the despondent hangover from the 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' match that did it.

I groaned when I saw the line up today - WTF do I know! Mr Emery I take my hat off to you Sir. Absolute Master tactician.

Kamara - goodness me! If he played for a media wankfest club the column inches would be immeasurable. Luiz ! What a player in that midfield. All the players were superb today and what a way to kick off the year.

Real-Hampton - Mind the gap specialists cnuts must be shitting bricks facing us on Weds. Hope we tear them a new one.

At half time they asked Redknapp what the game needed and the plank came out with ‘a bit of magic from a Kane or Son’ - spot on Jamie they both did disappearing acts second half.

Superb hard working performance, every player was at their job, even likes of Bailey for whom not a lot was happening still worked hard.

Kamara & Luiz taking most of plaudits quite righty but good to see McGinn getting better game by game

That's what we have had as a manager for too long.  "A bit of magic" stuff of the dinosaurs.  What we have now is the real deal.  An actual coach.  Hallelujah!

Whatsisname…Balague fella…on the Claret and Blue podcast said Emery would confuse/frustrate us with some of his selections but to have faith. Olsen was probably one of the first to a degree so I’m glad it’s all worked out despite joining in with the pre match kittens!

Also, Watkins gets stick for his finishing but he looks to me to have found monster mode again, he's a one man attacking press, he's been loads more involved and effective again since Emery came in.
Agreed, and he seems to be winning more aerial duels than he used to as well. His decision-making and finishing can be drastically improved but he does cause mayhem in the opponents' half.

Perfect away performance. Great to have a manager that I trust. Only downside is traffic on North Circular back down South..

As already mentioned Cash on for Bailey - tactically superb.
Young beating Son in a foot race - a joy to watch.
Someone call the police as it was daylight robbery to get Kamara on a free  - he was everywhere
The more the game went on the more I could not see them scoring.
Just imagine when Emery gets his own players in
Yes!!! - we're only at the beginning but Emery and his team are getting a tune out of these players.
I read somewhere that Cash and Martinez have not been used since the WC because they had not been around when Emery was instilling his footballing philosophy and culture with the rest of the squad: well, if so, that says it all about the guy - it's not about one's individual capabilities; it's as much about the team and the approach.

The result and performance will only solidify the belief and confidence of the players that this man knows what the fuck he's doing and I better get with the program

You were not alone and fair dues to you on eating the humble pie. We finally have a top manager we simply have to trust him.

What impressed me today was Emery's decision making. I can certainly understand why Martinez hasn't started considering how hard he appears to have enjoyed his time in Argentina.

When I saw Cash was about to come on I was expecting him to go to RB and Young perhaps move too. By moving McGinn to the left of midfield and Cash then to the right with Buendia he all of a sudden made the pitch a whole lot wider. It allowed us to keep the ball better, by starting with Ginny on the right and Buendia the left our midfield was narrow to nullify the spaces. Obviously other changes came after this when players took knocks but he tried with the players he had to keep that same width. Even when leading we finished the game with Courtinho, Ings and Watkins on the pitch.

This guy knows his stuff clearly, I really hope in the next couple of windows he can bring in the quality of player he wants, to play the way he wants us to play. I do have concerns about the central defenders ability to play from the back, and we clearly have players on the wage bill we need to get rid of (Sanson, Guilbert etc)

I'm sure there will be days that aren't so good, but today has shown me that I think we might finally have the manager with the tactical nounce to compete in this league against all teams and not just the (supposed) lesser teams.

Spurs were shit but I don't care. Plenty of times in the past we'd have failed to score and they'd get one in and win the game even playing shit.

Felt comfortable all match tbh.

Beating two of the Sky 6 in three games is very impressive. We're gonna fly once he brings his own players in  8)

It felt like one of those matches we've seen a hundred times over the years where all the other team had to do was turn up and not do anything stupid, given how awful we were and they'd walk away with the win.

That seemed to be Spurs today - we didn't really do much, but didn't have to.
