McGinn, Luiz and Kamara today - all three absolutely phenomenal.

I was offered a ticket in the home end and very nearly passed on it. I'm so tired seeing us lose there.  But bloody hell, Spurs were going through the motions, whereas we wanted it more.

Just that bit of snap in the tackle, chasing and harrying.  It's sounds so simple, but it's been missing for so long.

Great to watch a team playing for the manager and supporters for a change.  Having a plan and executing it as well as they can.  I hope we're at the start of something special.
I hear what you say and so glad you got to see that as you had doubts but really you were able to enjoy the 1st game of the new year with a victory and would add the players were very disciplined in what they were doing. That was good to see!
Well done on taking the game in you obviously had some faith for a positive result!
Did you hum quietly along to Villa till I Die as that was heard very strongly on the television! Can imagine had a good wry smile when the goals went in!
Up the Villa!

Great start to the New Year!  Listened to it on the radio driving home and have to say that as good as it was listening to the goals, it was very pleasing to hear the Spurs fans booing and singing about Levy getting out of their club.

Good start for Unai Emery really with 9 points from 12 against Manchester United, Brighton away, Liverpool at home and Spurs away.

Not trying to be negative, but I would not put McGinn’s performance in the same category as the other two.  He was good, but not exceptional.

Just watching the highlights again. "For Aston Villa, it's the stuff of dreams!"

Erm, no. Last night I had a dream that I won Come Dine With Me. I don't even like Come Dine With Me, but that was still a bigger deal than going 2-0 up against Tottenham.

Yep, I've watched us turn these cockney ponces over many, many times, but have zero lottery wins. Wind it in you mooks.

You've won Aston Villa. Enjoy the 3 points, I hope it makes you happy. Dear Lord what a sad little club, Aston Villa. You ruined my afternoon completely so you could take the 3 points, I hope you use them to get some grace and decorum because you have all the grace of an African Car reverser with no tyres on.

These cockney media types know nothing of ACR.

Also, I don't like to mock anyone for missing a penalty unless they're a complete twat (which I don't think Kane is), but BBC commentary just said "for Harry Kane, the bar is set so high..." Not high enough for one of his penalties though, surely?

Whilst waiting for MOTD2 I watched SSN for about 30 minutes. Their coverage was all about Spurs losing than the Villa winning. So far the MOTD2  coverage has been very complimentary and has praised our tactics.

Winning 'Come Dine With Me' with vegan dishes would be a bigger turn-up than us winning the FA Cup, never mind just beating Tottingham 2-0 in a league game.

The 'it's the stuff of dreams' comment irritated me as well.

There’s no point getting annoyed by this. There will London and NW bias as long as teams from those areas win all the trophies. We do our thing over the next season or two, and the media won’t be able to ignore us. Aston Villa have been barely relevant the better part of the past 2 decades.

Yeah I wasn’t loving McGinn’s display in the first half, but that’s probably me. As a three they were fantastic - brilliant display.
