I like Mr Emery’s understated way at the end of games.  He maybe will allow himself one punch of the air then shake the opposition managers hand gracefully before leaving it to the players.  It’s almost as if he’s saying well this is what I am employed to do.

We were 6 at the back at times yesterday. I wonder if that was an instruction to try to protect Olsen a bit more? If it was it worked as he didn't really have a meaningful save to make.
Honestly you need to give up your "Olsen is shit" mantra ;D ;D

Dare I say he reminds me of Ron Saunders in that respect. He is a consummate professional who has instilled his methods into the squad in a very short space of time. The omens are good.

I like the way Emery is using the whole squad. By keeping Olsen in goal he has shown faith and trust in a player, which will be appreciated by the player. Sticking with Young and bringing Cash on shows that current form will be rewarded, and keeps the competition for places alive. Same with Buendia and Countinho, he is keeping them both hungry for game time. This is how a proper manager uses a squad, none of this look me in the eyes bullshit.
Great game plan which the players have obviously bought in to. Substitutions used correctly to achieve the right result. Football seems like such a simple game when you’re winning.

I like the pitchside videos, they're something different. But I don't think I'm a fan of the slo-mo bits that seem to be included now. I prefer my shots, blocks and turns at full speed.

Skye complimented us on how far Villa were from the bottom 3 now, not seeming to see that, pointswise, we're as close to the top 6.

They'll have Eigg on their face come the end of the season.

I also like the way at the final whistle a quick handshake and wave and then down the tunnel - he could be on the pitch milking it like so many other Managers (yes i mean you Bingo) but instead very focused as if it is "Right now the next one"

Loving his work
