JJ is a huge miss today, his pace, ball carrying and physicality. McGinn tbf was much improved under Emery though.

Watkins is my biggest concern, hopefully today is one of his 4 good appearances for the season

I would much rather seen Cash and Dendonker in there for Ashley and McGinn. If Liverpool are playing their WC players we should for those available. This might be a long afternoon.

Poland didn't reach the latter stages of the WC, so I think it's probably just a case that Young has been picked over Cash, unless the latter is injured.

Surprise at right back but otherwise as expected. Assuming that Sanson has not impressed with Sanson in training.

He went to the world Cup with a niggle as i remember. Latest news from the press here is that he watched Home Alone on xmas eve, which proves he's Polish.

McGinn might be better further up the pitch. Presume we will be playing with that box like 442 again with Kamara/Luiz sitting so hopefully both McGinn and Buendia can make a big impact. Fabinho was awful pre WC so that is likely their weak point. Young is a surprise call but has been one of our best players this season when called upon. Olsen less so, if he can avoid a disastrous error it will be positive.

How pissed would you be when you know you're technically much better but never get a start?. Get Sanson and Guilbert out of the club immediately, super john McGinn and Cash are superior in every aspect.

Europe here we come!
