Until they outlaw shithousing for everyone we should do it.

I'm sick of sitting on the sidelines watching every other fucker waving trophies around.

Elite level football is repugnant – corruption, sports washing, hype, greed, lions facing the wrong direction – Martinez shithousing Lewis Dunk is pretty far down the list of things to worry about for me.

I'v watched the penalty again claim, and it really is a load of rubbish that it was 'stonewall'. Digne has the ball and is trying to clear it out of defence. He goes to kick the ball, but hits the turf, mainly because March has dived in with what wasn't far off being a scissor tackle. It then hits Digne's standing leg and bounces free. At the very worst, it's a 50/50 coming together.

Agreed, really was surprised at the time at the vehemence of reaction to the incident.

If yer man had poked it through Digne's legs and then got whacked then maybe, but he doesn't. It basically the foul equivalent of when players try to chip the ball against someone's hand to get a penalty. Get fucked with that, and anyway, fuck you March for getting away with the Trez one a couple of years back.

And that game, which they won 2-1 and we fucking battered them, they were massively shithousing if I remember correctly, trying to get Jack sent off by exaggerating contact. I remember similar sanctimony amongst their fans afterwards.

They play in blue and white and have Albion in their name. Urrgh.

Yeah, I was calmer yesterday with a one goal lead than I was last week when we were two up. That may be because of our histories against the respective clubs, though.

Same here. Mainly because at any second you expect the ref to give the Mancs an absolutely outrageous decision.

I think my calmness came down to two things. Firstly that we were managing it well, but secondly I’d have taken a point before the game and I think that was in my subconscious. Now had they scored I’d have been pissed off, but because of that underlying expectation I think I was calmer than normal.

Same here, Paul. Once VAR ruled against their penalty appeal I pretty much knew we'd hold out, even go on to get a third.

Re the pen, I've not heard one pundit say it wasn't a pen, I've looked for neutral fans views and the large majority of them said it was pen. If it had happened to us, I've no doubt there would have been uproar on here.

But it didn't. And as Steve Bruce would say, 'it's one of them ones'.

Once Man Utd went ahead on Thursday they slowed down, had "injuries" and took forever when making subs etc but wasn't mentioned, just accepted. Yet amazingly given that game had (at that point) 5! Goals in the second half, countless injuries, about 4 or 5 sub breaks there was only 4 minutes added on.

8 minutes yesterday though. Go figure.

If every other fucker is benefitting from it I sure as hell want us benefitting from it.

I can't remember where I saw it, but I remember reading that the referee's "guidance" on added time is 30 seconds for a sub, and 30 seconds for a booking.  So given we made five subs and had 7 bookings it's not surprising there was so much added time.  I don't think it was directly related to us time-wasting.  If it was, it would soon stop, as it wouldn't help at all.

But we made 3 subs at the same time too

Yes, surely if you bring 5 subs on at once it wouldn't then lead to 2 and a ½ minutes of extra time?

Exactly, we've had more than enough decisions go against us in recent years.

Kamara's yellow irked me most. Both players had their feet up, Kamara gets to the ball first, their player goes down like he's shot and they get a free kick and a yellow card shown. And on the Guardian match thread the reporter says he's lucky it was not worse, wtf? It wasn't even a foul

The Mings one was similar wasn't it? Won the ball, but booked anyway.

Now he did, but he pulled the player back before exectuing the clean tackle. I don't have a problem with that, pulling shirts should be a yellow because it's just plain cheating.

But a few minutes later that prick (he's a prick now, I've seen enough of him) March got tackled cleanly by Digne who came out with the ball, he clearly pulled his shirt but Digne got away only for him to catch him up and clatter him from behind, but no card for that or that carthorse for the penalty.
