Just read some of the comments after the Guardian match report after being mentioned on here. Bloody hell, we were fouling all game and apparently we’ve played the same way when we had Smith and Gerrard in charge. I don’t think they like us, let’s hope a few more teams start feeling the same way as that’ll mean we’re getting good results and being successful.

Up the Villa

Always remember when I was a kid my big brothers workmate, veteran of the 70's telling me "Everybody hates the Villa when we're good"

Long may it continue.

And lions eat seagulls.

Is that a line from an Eric Cantona poem?

It's fucking laughable. Did anyone watch Man Shitty against Brentford? They dived they cheated and they did everything to shithouse a win but for once the officials stood firm and didn't cave in. Man United,Chelsea,Liverpool have been doing the same shit for years. I don't like it but it appears the only way to get anywhere these days is to shithouse your way through. If that's what Unai wants to instill into our mentally so be it. Bring it on. Fuck the lot of em.

I see the Dunk for England bandwagon has somewhat stalled. Looked every inch the Championship defender he is, selling himself and going to ground for both goals.

Great win, ground it out and showed some resilience. Onwards…..

MOTD2 Jermaine Defoe has done an analysis piece on Ings and must have said 'Y'know' about 30 times in 2 minutes.

Loved to see the analysis of Villa's defensive organisation on MOTD2.

And for all that whingeing about their penalty, it was a fucking foul on Doug for their goal

Thought we were lucky toward the end packing the defence, we had far more control before the changes, having said that it's about time we won an ugly match. If we can get a couple of upgrades after Xmas we will in the top half.

I thought exactly the same, it was hideous listening.
