Nice link up between Ings, Buendia and Ramsey. McGinn scrappy but not very effective, Luiz and Kamara cultured but sloppy and not very effective, full backs ok, centre backs awful first 20 but improved quite a lot thereafter. Martinez good other than the iffy pass.

Thought that was Digne's best 45 minutes for us btw, handled their attacks down his side with ease.

Fuck me, every one of those corners too about half an hour to take.

Yes, even though the corners were theirs, I found myself shouting 'come on'!

That penalty came from another superb bit of vision from Emi and McGinn advancing into a position we’ve seen him for a while. That’s encouraging. But he still gives it away too much in possession in the middle.

You don't need to qualify a positive comment you know.

It’s an observation. Both can be true.

True.

We're doing OK today. But we didn't in 1986.

After a terrible start we’ve come back well. Our problems stem from a lack of confidence playing out of the back and we’re looking exposed when Brighton attack down their left.

The latter is on McGinn, he's too narrow when they get the ball and has meant their left back has loads of space. Ramsey on the left is doing far better at supporting his fullback.

Poor start.
Only Ramsey and Buendia look sharp in midfield. There should have been a pen for handball before Ings’ pen. What is the faxing point of var! Ref and Lino’s poor especially the Lino on Digne’s side. Need to improve after h/t.

Not too bad.
We don't seem ready to play out from the back yet.
SJM better, Kamara busy and Ings and Emi2 look dangerous at times.

Oh and Matt Holland describing our tactics perfectly. If Gerarrd was stil in charge.

Thankfully it's not looking like game over after conceding. Need to be more creative up front. Too much passing backwards.

On the plus side, considering Brighton are flying so high, I wouldn't say we have looked outclassed at any point. If anything we have a few levels we can go up.

Kamara off the pace. UE needs to make some positive changes.

Ramsey's been class so far under Emery, he'll really thrive under this manager.

I actually don't mind him starting out wide as its easier for him to drift into threatening positions in final third rather than from central areas.

Our problem is we can't balance it up on the other side with a direct wide player, hopefully Bailey is fit enough to contribute to decent chunk of second half when game is still level.

We need more players like Kamara in our side. They are out there for reasonable prices as we showed in finding him. And when you look at some of the players Leicester over the years or more recently Brentford or Brighton have picked up, we can do the same with the right philosophy from the club.
