Man Yoo fan I work with said that he doesn't rate Emery and all his teams do is sit back and play boring football. I responded that if he couldn't see Villa outplaying Ten Hag's tactics then it must be too dark at the back of the bitter barn.

I could have guessed that after the first three words of the post. 🙂

Do yourself a favour - dont engage with the wankers and try to discuss football as they really cannot do it - they think everything evolves around them

You genuinely cannot have a footballing conversation with them the arrogant loathsome spunk dustbins

We only sit back against the better teams. On Sunday we went straight at them and took them apart.

That would explain the first few chapters of The Origin of the Species.

Has he ever been to Old Trafford? Or Manchester? Could he even point to Manchester on a map?  It's always noticeable in the ground that when they start singing "Manchester, Manchester" it's a lot quieter than the other songs they sing.

I avoid speaking to those kind of Manchester United and Liverpool 'fans' about football as they are almost exclusively bell ends.

That match was absolutely brilliant on so many levels.

VP was rocking;
At long, long last a home league win over the biggest, corrupt, self-entitled, glory hunting cnuts in history;
A beautiful free kick goal infront of the Holte that was just poetry in motion;
A goal from one of our own;
Movement, passing, energy - they didn't know what hit them, didn't have time to wave imaginary notes at the ref before they were 2-0 down;
One of their 'greats' a sad shell of a player ;
The song 'Glory hunters...support your local team' - hilarious;
Unai kicks off the new era with a MAGNIFICENT win;
All the Glory hunting twats at work are hiding from me;
Gerrard shown up for being a plank as these are the same players;
Im counting hours down to the next match;
Mrs Remy said the earth moved for her last night.

Well, it has been 27 years.

The first question I ask them is how often they get along to Old Trafford/Anfield knowing what the answer will be.

If you pay someone off so they'll drop their accusation that you're a sex offender, don't be surprised if people think you're a sex offender.

Although on the other hand, the accuser refused to tell the police who the alleged attacker was, or where it took place. She also immediately launched civil proceedings rather than pressing criminal charges.

This article gives a great deal of context to how she acted, and asserts that HE has acknowledged that she said no, he carried on because she didn’t actually scream, and he said sorry afterwards.

Still hate the song though, because I believe those that sing it are far less interested in women’s rights than trivialising the trauma of a woman to take the piss out of an opposition player.

Yes, that's probably a fair comment.

The last win was two months before I attended my first game.

You were almost exactly a year ahead of me, then.

Edit: only just realised how stupidly Irish my (admittedly Irish) dad looks there. Like a 'Ra man in court.

He's the spit of Staunton

My nephew asked a Brummie Red who was telling him that he should support a decent team how often he had been to Old Trafford. The answer was "where's that?"

Typical.

I really despise gloryhunting, I really do. You see it around here with Juve and Inter 'fans' from absolutely nowhere to do with them. Why 'support' a team that has no need of any support? Because for the gloryhunter it's the club that's supporting them, their ego, their vanity. Fuck 'em.

I don’t really have an issue with people choosing to support a particular club, particularly where it’s something that they decided when they were a child. My issue is more where people chop and change - once you’ve decided who you support then you stick with it through thick and thin. That said it doesn’t annoy me, I kind of pity them - how much joy can you get from a win if you don’t really feel a connection with the club?
