I guess that the trains were fecked because of the non-strike.

Perry Bar station had a sign saying no trains today

I wish that I’d filmed Emi’s antics before the free kick and then his celebration afterwards.

I’m still not sure if he was really helping to line up the two Villa players or engaging in shithousery to put off De Gea. Loved his dance back down the field in front of the Trinity.

Someone shared a link to a video of it on Twitter earlier in the thread, not sure how far back, but I'm sure it's only three or four pages at most.

Great win despite that appalling clown shoes of a referee.

Also, from my Witton Upper perch I have to say today's goal celebrations in the Holte End were a magnificent sight.

Their fans, who mostly seem to be from Africa on various social media platforms, are ripping into Ten Hag and Ronaldo. It’s a joy to read.

Try not to laugh..

Not just a great result but also some of the best football we’ve played in a long time. Sexy football, might have a wank over match of the day later.

Thanks cd.

Could have genuinely been lining things up, but given that it was Emi, I’m leaning towards shithousery.

Blatant shithousery and I’m all for it.

Got to say I wasn't too confident going into the game; they've been on a good run and I was hoping for an honourable draw despite fearing that, yet again, we might see them come back after conceding and then having to endure the sight of their obnoxious fans cavorting near, or even on, our pitch.

Little did I know how swiftly Unai would instil confidence, energy, flexibility and some clinical finishing. Amongst the moments to treasure were:

1. Scoring direct from a free kick. What a glorious strike that was.
2. Three fabulous goals without the atrocity that is VAR making us wait for confirmation.
3. Excellent performances all round. Especially delighted for Mings, who I thought was a colossus at the back.

The only blemish on a fantastic afternoon was the sight of middle age men wearing half and half scarves. Isn't it time for a banning order?

As I said earlier it's hard to name our best player, the only members of the starting line up that nobody has called as brilliant:  Mings (tried to kill Ronaldo), Cash (solid if unspectacular) and Digne (scored).

Erik Ten Gerrard has spoken.

"If the players had done there job with 100% passion and desire then we would have won that game"
