I got the impression Pako was as much an analyst as anything. Constantly updating Unai and watching opposition warmup etc.

Unai meticulously at that so maybe wants to tighten up.

I met Pako at one of the events I think Guillem book launch and seemed a decent sort full of energy.

I read somewhere - it may even have been on here - that Unai doesn't so much bring in better players as better coaches to make existing players better. A lot of top managers regularly change their staff; the days of the bootroom are gone.

Changing his number 2 is a good longevity thing and provides a different voice. The Rodri guy I'm sure we'll also replace in time.

Emery is the Bowie of coaching.

Great analogy.
A genius, chameleon, ahead of the rest, and our mainman.

I was thinking the same. I just hope he doesn’t have a Tin Machine period.

Emery is the Bowie of coaching.

With our FFP issues, he could well be the man who sold the world.

I was just about to say this. I heard a few tracks again the other day and boy it was shit.

Bowie had about 6 good songs and one of those was a cover of a Bauhaus song.

He was decent, but he was no Cliff Richard.

Yep, just the 6 good songs. Everything else was genius.  8)
