The right offer gives him all the things he needs in his life and career. He wants to be wanted. He wants to be the primary architect of the club he manages. Overseer of all things from players to infrastructure. You can seen how much he speaks about the ground improvements. He’s clearly had a hand in those decisions. I’m sure we pay him very well. I’m sure there are potential employers who can pay him more. But thats obviously not all that matters to him. How many clubs could make him that offer?

I'm not saying someone will make him that offer. But if someone offered him say 25m a year he'd go. His price may be higher or lower than that but everything and everyone has a price especially in football.

He is a complex person with an incredible drive to succeed. He seems to struggle to unwind, always focused on football. I can’t see that he is particularly motivated by money. Achieving successes in football that he hasn’t yet managed maybe, money no.

if it was just about money he wouldn’t be here now.
That’s the point currently we offer so much more.

Where would he be that was offering him more?

I'm sure that he's a big fan of "the sporting project" but having the fourth biggest salary in the league is the main reason he's our manager.

We all have a price, Unai is no different. If offered enough any of us would spend the next 3 years watching small heath at the sty and only posting on sha. Never mind changing job.
