A lot of eggs are in the Forest basket. Go through and all will be well, go out and it will be Deeney level of ugly.

Last year Spurs did the same with a weakened side in the league as they had all the eggs in Europa, we were just returning the favour. The difference is they only had one more match in it, we still have two.

Trouble is, as somebody else pointed out, we're acting like Thursday is the final. I'm getting flashbacks to the point last season when we were going for top four, CL and FA Cup, and we failed on all three fronts (admittedly, calling our CL campaign a failure is harsh, as we did ourselves proud).

Win on Thursday and we still have a chance to fuck it up.

we've got no momentum going into that Forest game - we've got to dig ourselves out of a hole. With no spade.

We scored the last goal of the game. We have all the momentum. Onwards and upwards. Sigh...

I'm ashamed of that tonight.

We dug one of the greedy sky six out of their own grave. Fuck off

Either you want us to go all out to win a trophy or you don't, the decision to rest players given the league position we are in makes sense (we'll have had to cram in two extra games in a fortnight compared to the likes of Liverpool, for example).  Awful performance from the second string but it's over, this evening's match is history. All eyes on Thursday.

Played like that to lull Forest into a false sense of security while keeping them in the relegation battle. Next level thinking from Unai.

One thing I’ve noticed is that when something has gone against us, we seem to sulk and feel a bit of self pity rather than get angry and galvanized.

I’m talking about the Elliot Anderson tackle in this case, but also about when the injuries struck earlier in the season or the beginning of the season after the Man U result last season..

Yes, we're liked dumped lads from the home town when the girl meets a Sri Lankan juggler at university.

Was he a good juggler then?

I was the juggler pal.

Take some responsibility for this Unai.  That was wank.

A lot of people assuming Emery wasn't arsed about today. I'm leaning more towards the possibility that he's tired of the players and they're tired of him.

Is Unai actually a good motivator? He’s obviously tactically better than most and very analytical but is our habit of losing the more important games of each season due to his inability to “rev” our players up? He spends every press conference before a game complimenting the other teams, saying how they deserve more points and have fantastic players, which I don’t get either.

Regardless of how the season ends I think a lot will change in the summer, and I reckon there's a decent chance Unai will be one of them. Despite having an overall good season it feels like a cycle is ending. And even if we win the Europa and finish top 5 I think it applies.
