Unai is stubborn as hell, but has the tools to have turned this round against Leeds and Wolves, but his own belligerence has prevented it. Has to sort it for Wednesday night. Simple things. Rogers is not a 10. Watkins is not a premier league centre forward at the moment. Buendia is not good enough to start but can create chaos from the bench. Barkley can play 10 but can't run so struggles at 6. Konsa isn't a captain. All of these things are easily rectified.

Oh and Unai.. Leon Bailey is not a footballer anymore. Accept this and put a kid on the bench, it's more use.

He could also tell Watkins the keeper is always standing just inside the far post. Expect at least 15 goals between now and the end of the season.

He'll still hit the keeper. He's pre programmed to shoot meekly down the keepers throat 8/10 times.

That's my point, Ozz, we reprogramme him.

The atmosphere has been terrible for a few games now. The team do need to give us something to get excited about but what’s annoying has been the few times this season where sarcastic cheering around a few players and booing at half time. Yes it’s only a few but it came from some of the away support at Wolves. as well.

I disagree in terms of Rogers not being a 10. He absolutely can be and is. The problem is the forwards either side of him are basically clogging up his space rather than creating space and the centre mid is too far away to link up.

I’ll preface this with the fact that it is undeniable Unai has done incredible things for Villa, lifted us beyond what was scarcely believable. I believe he continues to be the right man - but he is making poor decisions at the moment and needs to adapt. We are continually playing the same way, and it’s not working. The injuries are a real blow, but we are playing well beneath we should be.

Enough words from the team and management on improving - fucking do something different and make it happen.

This smells like end of an era right now.

I reckon he's going to leave at the end of the season.

And that's not me saying I want him to, it just smells like something ending.

Maybe the players know he’s off?

We just lack quality when our best players are out.

It doesn’t help that his hands are severely tied. Man City buy the best centre back and winger. We recall players we’ve bombed out.

Who on the bench or in the squad can lift us?

It’s like he’s realized we can’t break through the ceiling and so he’s given up.

Sadly, I think that is exactly what it is too.

Tonight laid bare the reason why he will go.

And I wouldn't blame him.

It's over.
