I just have this horrible feeling that we're coming towards the end of something.

Tony Soprano vibes.
Is Tony trusting Paulie, or not taking him out when he was tempted to, the same as Unai persisting with….Ollie, or Emi B…..or Bailey?

Hopefully, because I’d say that was the right decision in the end.

If that is the case it’s a huge concern. We have basically set up the entire footballing structure of the club for Unai - probably entirely necessarily to get and keep him. The results bear out it’s been more than worth it, but we’re basically entirely reliant on him supporting a transition when he decides to leave. It’s a big continuity risk.

This is it for me. Unais doing hos bot getting the most of what he has he needs money  so we need to do some clever trading with or without  CL so he has momey to spend.

I mean we cant have a worse summer than last summer in terms of incomings surely?

Wrong thread, but do you think so? I always had it in mind that Paulie and Patsy did for him? Maybe I need to watch the whole thing for a third time, its been a few years

No chance, in my humble opinion.

Am I one of the few people who would advocate a rogers sale to fund a rebuild?  A bit like when BFR sold Platt.

I suspect so. The idea of selling our best player, when wage ratio is the big issue, and thinking it’s the way to go given our recent recruitment efforts feels highly likely to fail.

Exactly.  Although he didn’t really have much say in that.

If we don't make the CL i'll be surprised if Rogers is still here next season.

Our recruitment is so bad we'd probably just buy Ramsey back as the replacement.

True.  But either way there’s a big clear out needed.  Too many now passed their best.

He did. He forced him out. Benteke turned up for training as usual and Sherwood jumped out on him, dressed as Poirot but with a string of sprouts around his neck as a makeshift necklace, screaming into his tiny-eared face "TIN TIN IS FUCKING SHIT YOU BILINGUAL BASTARD!" and then "THIS IS NOT A PIPE" while, quite clearly, holding up a pipe.

There was no going back after that.
