can someone even his wife , tell him Ollie needs benching and Bailey needs to sell the pies and bovril and when Buendia is tackling himself , get him off.

Maybe he’s off to Madrid as per the media and bookies, the players know it and its affected their performances?
Shall we bump the Next Villa Manager thread then now?  ;)
Give it 3 or 4 more games.

Emery must be very close to chucking it, watching some of these players turning in performances like tonight. It’ll take every ounce of his magic to get this lot to compete against Chelsea and ManUre.

Unai takes his share of this too - it is very obvious we are still trying to “control” games in spite of losing 3 essential players to that.
It’s why I do not understand why he thinks he can get by with the Onana Luiz pivot with a combination of Bailey Sancho Buendia ahead of that.
It hasn’t worked and does not work, yet he persists.

You would think his enormous highly paid entourage might have pointed this out.

I wish he'd stop fucking off down the tunnel before shaking hands, it's basic respect and manners to not do that.

Since his mini breakdown (v Arsenal ?) about us not being able to compete, the players have lost an awful lot of confidence & belief.
We are the polar opposite to what we were 12 games ago .

Bad night for Emery but I’d rather have him than anyone else.

Well yeah obviously. But it’d be nice if he could now start to try doing something different. Part of his genius is tactical acumen, and we’ve been miles off it for weeks.

Agreed. Something has to change.

Way too inflexible. It can’t be his structure or nothing. There is no way three injuries, as key as they are should completely dismantle our season. Emery is blind to the obvious he’s so fixated on his way. That’s not a strength. And all this bollocks about need the fans energy. That’s really starting to worry me. It’s suggesting he’s run out of ideas and needs the fans need to motivate the team. Wha we are seeing is complete collapse and our season will be in tatters if he cannot change it or Tielemans, McGinn and Kamara on his crutches come to save the day. Fucking pathetic right now. He deserves the plaudits for getting us here. He deserves the criticism for what has happened recently.

Unai Emery: “In September I was worried. My objective was to keep in the Premier League. In December, I was excited to get the top 5 positions. One month ago, I was dreaming of maybe winning the Premier League. Now it’s still about getting balance — we are in the average to be in the top 5.”

Unai Emery: “I want to tell the supporters that we need their energy. On Wednesday (vs Chelsea) we need their help. We need to be together.”
