Tonight made me wonder if Unai Emery is our version of Klopp. Klopp is obviously a much better manager than slot, yet it was slot who won the league. Maybe Unai is going to be the one who builds our club, yet it will be someone else who eventually wins something. I hope not

Klopp won the league didn't he?

I was getting verbally battered and mocked at work last night when i said no way will Emery go to Madrid. He has complete control, doesnt like the spot light and is a Basque. But we are tiny little Aston Villa and dont know our place in the world. People are arseholes.

If he goes to Madrid - and I can understand the allure for him - he has to understand that he will be nothing but a glorified figure head whereas at VP he is king of all he surveys. He will have to rebuild his credibility all over again. I get the feeling his integrity means a lot to him but we'll see won't we.

We all know fuck all about his intentions. Stating that he will definitely leave doesn't strike me as being intrinsically any more foolish than stating that he will definitely stay.

I'll start to get more worried if Damian stops doing his UTV tweets after games.
