I genuinely believe he could be our Wenger. People will argue he might feel he has taken us as far as he can but stand back a second- there aren't many clubs at all that can do the kind of things we have been doing. Finishing top 4 in the toughest league of them al, getting to semi-finals, being 4 points off top with 15 games left.

Surely he will feel he has unfinished business here - the minimum he will want to win a trophy but beyond that he could really establish us. We're already pretty close to pushing Spurs out of the sky 6 (finishing ahead of them 4 years in a row and catching up off the field).

I actually agree. We all know that there are bigger gigs in world football, but Unai strikes me as a bit of a romantic - he's doing incredible things here, and I think he knows it.

If it was offered, I wouldn't bet against him taking it, its the biggest club in the world and he's the best manager but I dont think it would be a good fit for either party. RM have just sacked a systems based coach as it didn't work with all the dressing room egos, and UE clearly doesn't enjoy the media attention and wants to be the sole decision maker.

I reckon we're as far out of the limelight and goldfish bowl shit that clubs like Madrid operate in as it's possible to be whilst still having resources to compete, and I think that is the sweet spot for Emery.

He must feel that there's a good chance he'll get the chance of that job or any of the other "top" ones in the future due to the churn they go through. The very churn that makes it a double-edged sword as he found at Arsenal and PSG.

This is my concern.  If it gets offered he will go, but it would be a mistake.  Im hoping he doesn’t get asked and then we don’t have the problem.

Emery at Madrid doesn’t sound right at all.  I don’t think he’d leave here until he wins big things.
