So according to that Twitter bloke - Fab....  It just internal conversations at RM for the summer (assuming the current Coach fails).   Hopefully they go off the idea when they look at it.

I would like them the club to offer Unai another big contract this summer.  I really think there is a chance we achieve truely remarkable things under him.  Particualrly given that if we get CL football next season and the continued revenue growth we most finally get some more financial freedom.

I also wonder if there is a heft release clause in Unai's contract

Think Ornstein suggested when he signed the extension a couple of years back that it was in the region of £10-15m.

Mad to think signing Emery will cost you less than Guesssand.

I'm probably not in the market for either, to be honest.

That's good to hear, can cross off Emery being lured to Bath.

I can see him being tempted by Real Madrid. His stated aim is to win the Champions' League. He'll have the self confidence to believe he can do the job too. Hopefully it doesn't come to it and is just idle chatter

Don't Basque people hold a lot of animosity for real madrid?

Real Madrid will not give Emery the control he wants at a club.

What, Franco's white shirts? Other than hating them, no.

We can cut it how we like, but it's Real Madrid. We are at risk. Just have to hope it doesn't happen.

Real Madrid will not give Emery the control he wants at a club.

It's what he needs to do his job the way he wants to do it. Those jobs are cut out for the select few who can deal with the role that is assigned to them. Emery needs to be involved at all levels. Lets face it his super power comes from being a control freak. One mistep at Real Madrid and the players will get rid of him.

I suspect that a man who gave a verbal commitment to Newcastle's owners to be their manager doesn't let politics get in the way of a football/financial opportunity.

Unai is a Coach, they don't need a coach at Madrid, they need a manager to massage the egos of their players. If they really needed a coach Alonso would still be there.

There's only two places I could see in Spain attracting Unai, the national job and Athletic Bilbao and right now neither need any help.
