Nah, he sees how they get through coaches, and that the only way to succeed at Real Madrid is to put the senior players in charge. He'd hate it.

Ok, it is Real Madrid. But he won’t get any near level of control he has here and those players aren’t gonna sit through his training talks / videos etc, bunch of pre-Madonnas.
I thought they were after Klopp anyway.
If City come calling this summer though….

Borrowed / adapted from that terrible website:

"It’s October 2022. Villa have just been battered by Newcastle under the stewardship of interim boss Aaron Danks

Rumours are flying around that NSWE have found their man and Unai Emery is on his way to save us.

All of a sudden, a time traveller from January 2026 lands in front of you and hands you this current Villa line-up with no other context and disappears. How do you assume the last three years have gone?"

Apart from the pay-day it just seems like a fucking miserable club to manage.

These players are young men, born this century. They're post-Madonnas, surely?

I bet we're paying him more than they would.

If the interest is genuine then it's time to worry imo.

You're probably right. I'm not remotely worried about it.

He has already done the "super club" thing with PSG. I wouldn't worry. Madrid are best served with a figurehead like Zidane, that's not Emery.

Looks like click bait - will worry if and when it’s reported by a reliable source.

Do have a bit of a bad feeling about this (but then Im never exactly mr positive).

Im hoping the owners have a few more aces up the sleaves if Unai's head is turned.  They have basically bulit an entire strategy around Unai - so they must have a plan for this situation (should it develop).

I couldn't think of a worse fit for Emery than Vibes and Feelings FC. Imagine all the giant babies that refused to listen to Alonso asking them to press, sitting through hour after hour of meticulous video analysis and planning? Load of bollocks.

Seen them twice this year as well, absolutely shite. We'd have battered them home and away.

Exactly. It's nonsense.

I think Unai is loving the challenge of making history here and not somewhere where history has already been made.
