It's been a tough week. Lost 2 key players, lost at home and Malen sold. He's not gonna be totally happy?

If like some fear he may go, there is 1 club where he would get control and have the cash if their manager leaves this summer..

Blues?

It would explain why he's looking so down. It's quite common in January.

My Villa fan neighbour is convinced he'll leave at the end of the season and we won't get anyone in this window at all. I had to give him a lengthly Samaritans-style* counselling session over the phone yesterday.

I'd phoned him for him to cheer me up!

I'll get concerned when Balagué starts writing 'The Demise of the Villains'.

It depends who's doing the buying and selling, Emery looks after the playing side of things but someone else handles finance, maybe there has been a difference of opinion. Selling Malen when there is no replacement was stupid, If Watkins gets a knock what then?

Emery must just hate the transfer window. Especially as it unsettles everything. The summer was brutal with us missing out on the CL and consequently having our best players linked with moves away and not being able to get players in. It in part led to our bad start. Now, he’s pulled miracles to get us to 3rd and we can’t strengthen and then the misfortune of key injuries. A poor display on top of all that. Yeh I’m sure he’s been happier.

Elite coach, with all the shit of the last week, he gets a performance like that out of them.
