He must have up for it when he agreed to join PSG.

Maybe, but I reckon he's decided since it's not for him.

Take Man U, it would be two years before he wrestles control from Jason Wilcox.  Another year to convince them to appoint one of his mates in the same/similar role. In the same time period he has to cut the current coaching staff to bring in his preferred coaches.  After that Man U need to buy him the club his relatives played at, from Villa.

That’s a lot of energy expended not coaching and doing the stuff he likes.  In the same time period we could be a 10-20% bigger club.

and don't forget the fans there won't give him any time to succeed. They will be moaning the first time he loses a game or his style of play doesn't align with "Fergie's teams did it". Emery is very suited to a club like us because compared to them we were starved of success and it has allowed him the time and autonomy to do it his way. Plus a board who are incredibly supportive. I don't know that there are many clubs where the current structure even exists; Arsenal and Man City aside where the manager has so much ability to shape the club. Emery values that and he wouldn't just get that lamost anywhere else he would go.

We need to get the ground expansion sorted so we are even bigger and better.

I wonder what Unai's wife is like, how much attention she gets from the Don must be miniscule to the attention he lavishes on the Villa players. Does she need to be more demanding of him in her own way at home?
I feel he’s probably highly demanding and has particularly high standards. He videos every task - everything from bedroom antics right through to putting the bins out - and then watches it obsessively to make sure it’s being completed in the most orderly fashion, with them being in the optimal position for each situation. When he gets lucky he waves his pants around and throws them to the ground in much the same way that he throws his coat when Villa score.

I imagine once you’re accustomed to his ways, he is the world’s finest lovemaker AND gets the plates sparkly clean.

Very unusual to see or hear Unai do or say anything negative about the officials, but he's approached them at full time tonight, clearly not happy with their performance.

It's because he wants to - and thinks he can - win the league.

Yep, that is exactly what I thought too.  And we can.  It will take everything going right though, like getting penalties in tight games when they're borderline decisions.  Hence him putting some pressure on the officials last night.  We have to really believe and push ourselves because we might not get another chance in the next 50 years.  Same with transfers - whatever we can do, we must do, and hope our key players stay largely fit.

Well if Unai thinks we can win it, then so do I.
