On a scale of 1-10 of how worried we should be, I'm currently at zero.

I think Maresca will join 115C soon to work a season as Guardiola'a understudy and take over at the end of 26/27 season

Apparently Maresca has close ties with the Director of Football and the CEO at Manchester United.  Coincidence or convenient timing maybe?

The Brummie pessimism around here and other forums where (some) Villans seem to be tying themselves in knots to make a case for our manager to leave is absolutely extraordinary.

Yep.

And the same applies regarding our chances in the title race, of filling a 50k Villa Park, of winning a trophy etc.

Totally agree - Emery isn't going anywhere soon short of a family catastrophe.

There's more chance of them fixing their leaky roof than enticing Emery.

I think Gareth Southgate would be the ideal choice.

Everyone, if not all say there’s no chance he’s going to man United

But I don’t know why people get all aerated about the talk of Emery going when there’s a high profile job come up because he’s generally regarded as the second best manager in the Premier league and one of the top managers in the whole of Europe so it’s going to happen whether people like it or not

It’s just part of what you have to put up with when you’ve got one of the greatest managers at your club it’s a price worth paying
It didn’t happen with Gerard Lambert McLeish Bruce I wonder why

I'm sure I've read this before that Emery and Sawiris are good friends, so I doubt that we have anything to worry about. We can match wages and have the best owners in the league. The ambition of Emery matches the ambition of the club. Don't worry folks, the club is in good hands.

I'd be genuinely surprised if Emery left for ManU any time soon. And as said, we need to stop thinking like we're the Villa of old.

If it was the summer and we had finished outside top 4 or 5, had the same transfer problem’s at last summer, I would be worried, but I don’t see him leaving now
