I can dream

So you don't think we will, but you expect people whose only currency is their knowledge of football, who don't think we'll win it, to pretend they do?

That's not really a fair comparison though. For pundits, right now, the question they should be considering is if we're part of the race. Whether anyone thinks we will actually win it or not we can win it from the position we're in and our form makes it silly to not include us.

That said I haven't seen many people do that, most comments are more that we're part of the race and the longer that stays true the more of chances increase but that are 3rd favourites.

Paul, I spend most of my life on this website. I am Aston Villa-obsessed. I am pathetic. I have listened to four podcasts (and read 50 pieces of journalism). Everything I have consumed has said the same thing: they are in the race and they will not win it. I agree with that, I salute those who don't, but there is no suggestion from anywhere that we haven't won all these games and don't deserve to be where we are.

Yeah, there are absolutely loads of people in the media saying we're in the race. Which we clearly are, looking at the table.

There are significantly fewer that think we'll win the title, and that's ok, because they're probably right, we won't.

Also, let's not forget, these things can change very quickly. It's only about three months ago that we had played five league games and looked like we'd never win a game, let alone a title.

How the fuck is my answer in any way a negative one ?
Of course we can we win it, and I can dream that we do.

My original post was that our record over 3 years has been magnificent and has what has put us where we are now.
We have built up to this, we aren’t a flash in the pan over a 10 game period, but that has largely gone over the commentators heads, much like my post did with you.

Aside from a recent lack of material for him, I think he might have been banned.

Nobody is saying we can't. Lots of people are saying we probably won't.

Well my original point is that you go to bungalows just to look around and your admin is haphazard.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I said. I think andyh read the post he quoted and took as us being dismissed as not really being in the race. You address with the bold bit, but then your question was do you think we WILL win it and right now I don't think anyone would say yes to that. The real question, just after Christmas, is who can realistically win the league right now and the answer to that includes us. If we're still part of that answer at Easter then the will we win it question starts to become worth asking. I just think putting someone on the spot like that after 18 games of the season is a bit of a cheap shot.
