Can you imagine where this club could be in 2 years time, IF our owners were allowed to invest like they want to, with this genius at the helm ?

We’re doing rather well without any huge investment.

Agreed. "Huge investment" is a synonym for "replacing the players that are already doing it".

I don't feel I really need us to spend £60m on a McGinn, Cash or Konsa replacement at the moment.

Off-form though Ollie has been this season, would £70m on one of the strikers that moved for that sort of money in the summer see us any better off?

We can’t afford to standstill we must improve the squad.
I suspect a couple of players will come in similar to last year.
This season we have a watered down European campaign to manage but our league position is much stronger than a year ago.

People only see investment in the team as a positive thing when we have very clear examples from the summer just past that this is not always the case, only Ekiteke has looked anything like value.

What a guy. Just wish he didn't give me a headache when listening to his long-winded answers in interviews and not answering the question. How the fuq do the players understand him?

I reckon the whole site would have seen £50m on Frimpong as an upgrade on Cash in the summer too.

It’s all part of the illusion, the players understand him perfectly, me watching, I have no idea what he’s on about!

You'd have got decent odds on one number 10 that finished last season at Leverkusen completely outperforming the other one as well.

Probably the whole world! Remarkable how Cash has come on this year especially.

True but I think the role Linderlof has played is equally remarkable given how well Torres was playing before his injury.

In fairness, Emery would have made Frimpong fulfill his potential. It's what he does with almost every player he manages.
