is it just me that finds his press conferences really dull? He says exactly the same in every one!

I don’t listen to his interviews, he’s a master of saying a great deal without actually saying anything. All done on purpose and out of obligation of course.

I do love the bloke immensely though.

Agreed, you're generally none the wiser after his interviews. Often it would be hard to discern what the result was, if you didn't already know.

It's not his forte. Ron Saunders was similar.

Then again, Tim Sherwood was usually entertaining. BFR was always entertaining. MoN was pretty sharp.

It wasn't a criticism, I'm quite happy for him to give the media crumbs to feed off.

He rabbits on with long answers that don't always answer the question and often employs some favourite stock phrases and bits of broken English but they can't all be charismatic like José.

There's no problem with it, I expect him to keep things close to his chest, I'd rather he just said nothing in a different way.

Yeah, love him to bits, but I rarely listen to his interviews. I get quite lost trying to understand him.

Since the start of 23/24 we've won more European home games than anyone. Ok it's been across all 3 comps while some others are CL only but it's still pretty impressive.

True love
You're the one I'm thinking of
Your heart fits me like a glove
And we're gonna be claret and blue
Unai I love you

There's a lot of (deserved) fanfare for Guardiola managing his 1000th game today. Emery passed that milestone with us (I think) and, well, nothing happened. I guess, because all the fuss is being made by the LMA, that you need to have spent a chunk of the time in England, but it all seems somewhat rum.

It’s that media bias that doesn’t exist. 😉

0 trophies and half the games in England is probably why. That said I think his managerial career is more impressive than Guardiola's despite the trophy difference.

I get that, but I saw a video where he was being congratulated by the other members of the '1000 club'. As well as Ferguson, Klopp and Wenger, there were messages from Pulis, Bruce, Allardyce, Moyes and Hodgson. I'd imagine they could share the same bottle of Brasso and still have plenty left to huff it out of a plastic bag at Kidderminster Bus Station.
