Happy Birthday to the boss. 54 today, and not a grey hair in sight (even after 3 years of managing Villa).

Pretty great going apart from the average goal difference.

More impressive when you consider the budgets those teams have.

At least it’s the plus category. After the years of Lambert and co I’ll take this.

Sure, it just reads odd that we've won 58, over twice as many as we've lost but goal difference is closer to the number of games lost.

The 5s at Palace and Newcastle and a couple of 4s to Spurs haven't been replicated much by us administering many trashing of our own. 5 at Sheff Utd the main one, from memory.

Yanited seem spawny with theirs with only a +4.

Anyway, a minor quibble. Happy Birthday to the Don himself.

The 6-1 Vs your home town springs to mind.

But yes, we are too prone to sloppily concede a lye consolation as per Burnley this season to smash the goal difference.

Hope the boss has had a great day.

Hope the boss has had a great day.

He treated himself to the analysis of a couple of extra MTA and Bournemouth games.

is it just me that finds his press conferences really dull? He says exactly the same in every one!

I find all Managers press conferences very dull. What can they really say without giving anything away? It’s only interesting when they slag off the opposition or the officials which seldom happens these days. Ange was good for a press conference but he’s gone now.

I don’t listen to his interviews, he’s a master of saying a great deal without actually saying anything. All done on purpose and out of obligation of course.

I do love the bloke immensely though.

pretty much every press conference involving players and managers are very dull.
the only point of interest is player availability the rest is just fodder.
