I thought Sancho was the one positive thing when he came on, and it's illustrative of our problems. We've sold players who can stretch the pitch and he's one who can offer that. I know players normally need time to adapt to the way we want to play but I'd get Sancho and Elliott into the team ASAP.

Yesterday was another example where he got the ball in space, Maatsen all set up in space to receive the ball yet Sancho farts about for ages before eventually passing the ball to Maatsen who no longer had the space and opposition players on him.

I'm not writing him off but the signs are there. As Paulie used to refer to Spurs all those years back, 'all fart, no shit' seems to fit Sancho like a glove.

I was there yesterday and to be honest I don’t this is accurate of his performance. He played Mastsen in numerous times and also put in the best delivery of either team all day, for Ollie to massively fluff his lines, it was on a plate for him.
Who knows what he’ll be like in the mid to long term, but yesterday he showed more in 10 or 15 minutes than Rogers has also season.

Sancho was the only threat yesterday.  He should be starting the next game and I think he will.  Same with Elliot.

Exactly this. Despite a really poor showing, through Maatsen and Sancho we really pushed them deeper towards the end.
Honestly I’d had a great day with my 15 year old, great away day, literally until I was on the concourse and saw the team, it was utterly deflating.
Maatsen and Sancho have to start on Thursday and Sunday for me, along with Pau and Elliot needs to start at least one of them.

Yep, though I think Emery felt Sancho wasn't fit enough to start yet, we'll soon find out. He gives us that threat and unpredictability that Bailey and Rashford have over the past couple of years.

Yep, i'm not holding-out for anything to be as good as Moreno and Ramsey but we need to give this combo their head.

Sancho seemed to be operating on the wrong flank, he’d beat a man then need to try to come back again to cross with his right foot. This was why it was so laboured.

But then Grealish is the same on the left.

What Sancho does do is give us balance. The solution to Emery’s problems seems to be to integrate Elliott and Sancho asap to give balance and energy and a lift.

I think it’s probably just a matter of fitness with Sancho, he’s basically in pre-season mode so will need managing from that point of view but if yesterday is anything to goby he clearly has a lot to offer.
