The goal we conceded, the ball is in the air and 3 Villa players just stood there watching, McGinn, Elliott and someone else....not a challenge.
Before the goal itself it could of been stopped but no ones challenges a 50/50 outside the box.

Mings was dawdling too, which played them in onside. It’s indicative of the lack of focus and intensity about us.

Some of the players look bored & disinterested, others simply aren't good enough. The purchase of Malen looks stranger by the week.

Why can't we just try & win the game from the start. We could play a 100 games a season at the pace we play.

Well he's saying what we are so sees what the problem is, that was the most forthright he's been since he joined.

Now, can he put things right....?

Not the best week for that Spanish bloke’s book to come out!

The goal was shite to concede - but the real problem is we’re consistently producing very little every game. If you’re regularly recording an XG of under 1.5 - 2.0, let alone less than 1.0 (as we are comfortably doing right now) you’re not going to win many games. Our main problem, which needs to be fixed fast, is our utter lack of shape or plan to attack the opposition.

Quiet and I’m glad he’s angry and glad he walked off and wasn’t afraid to show it. It was horrible. Both halves just awful. Like you say, it’s the most forthright I’ve seen him and it’s now up to him to be brave and ruffle some feathers.

I hope John e is right and this could be a turning point.

He should be angry at himself too - he’s just repeating the same approach every game.

Short memories here. 1996 is our last trophy and 4th finish with a lot of absolute garbage since.

Careful what you wish for.

Exactly, it'd be like dumping Margot Robbie and wondering why you'd ended up with Sharon from Eastenders.

I always thought she was the daughter of Roly.

Happy to give Unai time, he’s earned it but the tippy tally, ponderous shit needs addressing as does the recruitment.  I thought Emery was fat too slow to react to them going down to ten men and adjusting at halt time.

Guillem's promo interviews have assured fans that Unai will get it right. Okay? Now, would you like this book signed too?

I will never know why some here didn't try to enjoy the past three years. From the beginning, think it was the League cup game at Old trafford, there was one or too constantly critical of Emery and obviously it's been growing this calendar year.

Now here we are three years in and it's a proper crisis and the reality is, if Emery was to go, it genuinely would be somebody like Nuno coming in to replace him. Iralola will hold out for the Man U job, Glasner will hardly leave Palace when he has a shot at winning another trophy.

It would be somebody like Nuno and 12-18 months from now we'd be staring at the fact that we should have enjoyed Emery more when we had him.

The players were very much a part of it but combine the no show and blown opportunities at Wembley and Old Trafford and then the mess that was the summer, it’s knocked the stuffing out of our belief and confidence. We need to fucking get past it. Yeh sure, players heads got turned, every agent and rival club knew we needed to raise funds and so fucked with us. And the Emi stuff at the end to cap it all off. But despite all of that we still have a very talented players playing miles below their ability. And a manager who can’t figure out why and that’s concerning too.
