we get it to the edge of the box and pass it sideways until we're all bored to death and the defence is in a solid position. Boring 'ell.

I’m hoping Unai has finally lost patience after that.  Ollie and Morgan’s need to know they are not shoe-ins.  They all need a huge kick up the arse

I think we're the only team in the Premier League who doesn't have a young kid in the first team picture - we've got to have someone that could add more than this shower of shite

Unai needs a kick up the arse too - he is a responsible party in this too. He is doing the same thing again and again, and it’s not working. He’s a top coach, but he’s having a very poor time.

Unai Emery: "Frustrated and disappointed a little bit, but not with the result. It should have been easier to take advantage [against 10 players] but we were not playing with our identity, with the ideas we have been building in the last three years."

Asked why the same players are now lacking identity.

"We were lazy sometimes. Lazy. The goal we conceded, we were lazy. Perhaps that’s because we didn’t play in our style."

Emery: "My worries is through how we are not feeling confident getting our identity. I am missing it. We have to get confidence. Some players are not confident."

Q: Why were they lazy?

Emery: "Sometimes lazy when we are playing here away, we have to fight the duels, and we were not fighting all duels. I watched the goal we conceded and we were lazy. We were lazy, but all the team, not the centre-backs or Cash. We are lazy."

I am not certain that 'identity' equates to 'lazy', to me that just shows lack of commitment (so drop them then)?

Perhaps it might be better to do the post match interview in Spanish and then translate it, as it might be better to understand (or is it just me).

The goal we conceded, the ball is in the air and 3 Villa players just stood there watching, McGinn, Elliott and someone else....not a challenge.

It’s alright Unai talking about identity but which he means style and approach I think.

However he hasn’t picked a balanced team all season and losing Bailey now seems reckless given he gave the team shape.

In all the years I’ve watched football you can’t win matches without balance.

Sounds like he gets it.

It was rubbish from Cash and Mings for their goal. Nowhere near alert enough.

Jimoh-Aloba was on the bench again, along with Bogarde who came on.

He's under pressure now. Total shit again today and a defeatist subdued selection.

Mings was dawdling too, which played them in onside. It’s indicative of the lack of focus and intensity about us.

And we can’t even blame Pau for that goal and so many attempts from a 10 man team
Well some will still make a case for that I’m sure
