Of course he is not getting sacked. He does need to start making better decisions though and getting a team out where all,X1 are pulling in the same  direction.

And Watkins. Don't forget him. He's been the worst of the lot.

Who do we have in the academy? If we have a striker then play them. Ollie doesn't deserve any more minutes now.

Watkins  would be more worthy of criticism if they got the ball to him once in a while.

Unai Emery: "Frustrated and disappointed a little bit, but not with the result. It should have been easier to take advantage [against 10 players] but we were not playing with our identity, with the ideas we have been building in the last three years."

Asked why the same players are now lacking identity.

"We were lazy sometimes. Lazy. The goal we conceded, we were lazy. Perhaps that’s because we didn’t play in our style."

Emery: "My worries is through how we are not feeling confident getting our identity. I am missing it. We have to get confidence. Some players are not confident."

Q: Why were they lazy?

Emery: "Sometimes lazy when we are playing here away, we have to fight the duels, and we were not fighting all duels. I watched the goal we conceded and we were lazy. We were lazy, but all the team, not the centre-backs or Cash. We are lazy."

I was expecting that after the Brentford game I think something will give now, I don’t know what as I don’t really know what’s going on, but I think this week might be a watershed week

for what it’s worth I think we will win the next games 3 at home
I’d rather see the back of half the team than to see Unai go

International break in just over 2 weeks. The chopping board usually comes out to cut someone's carrot.

Unai has been brilliant for the club, but the start of this season has been utterly embarrassing. The worst part of it is we continue to do the same thing every game, and shockingly the same thing is happening every game.

I am fed up we us continually doing the same thing. It’s not all on Unai, but he’s the manager and the team are not performing. Do something different, and be much fucking better.

Emery isn't without blame for the start of the season. Tactically we've been awful & some of the team selections aren't helping.

Players we know aren't good enough & have known for the last 3 seasons, are still starting games.

This keep it tight & something will happen isn't working. If players want to be elsewhere, they can fuck off in January.

Are we too structured? He loves a good structure does Unai but are we too set in our ways to the point the shackles don't come off and we can't express ourselves...a little like Duran did which Unai clearly had an issue with.

Where's the team that absolutely schooled Man City gone? That was probably the best game from all angles I have ever seen Villa play against maybe the best.

I'm getting the impression that what we're watching is supposed to be something new and revolutionary which Emery is hopeful will somehow click as long as we keep at it. Unfortunately the other sides don't consist of eleven cones, only the one wearing Villa shirts.

I don’t think we’re structured at all, there’s no attacking shape at all.

I’m more convinced by the game that irrespective of what’s happened behind the scenes, Unai has got into an incredibly negative mindset. Our starting line up is constantly about stopping the opposition. If we’re going to break out of this we have to change what we’re doing and be much more proactive. Getting to half time 0-0 should not be an objective. If we keep doing the same thing we’re not going to get better.

I know people won’t like this, but the defensive unit is really not helping. Our inability to effectively get the ball out of defence is a real problem.
