It's more 1997-98 than 2015-16.

Brian Little lost the first 4 games, badly, in 97-98 after giving us two excellent seasons.

I think there is some falling out behind the scenes. It feels so off

The good thing is we haven’t basically set the entire club up to support one man…

Does it matter if we have? When managers leave they normally take their backroom staff anyway, and we probably won't want Monchi/Vidagney staying anyway if he goes.
Usually when you sack the manager the director of football stays. That's kind of the point. Trouble is, we've hired his best mate.

Well generally it’s good to have the upper management separated out to support effective succession planning. When things go well or badly you don’t really want your entire football staff leaving.

There more games like this and he'll be out the door. Something has gone very, very wrong!

Not always, especially when the DoF is potentially part of the problem.

The wider recruitment (or lack there of) is a massive problem, but Unai you need to do a better fucking job right now. Dross.

The set piece coach needs binning. How many corners did we have.

Same against Brentford. Remember when Kane was taking corners for England? That's how I feel when Cash takes them now. How have they got round to that way of thinking? Cash can't cross. Or defend, or tackle cleanly.

And why are we letting Cash take any of them?

Didn’t he put two right on Youri’s head, though?

it’s almost like Rogers being squeezed in to the team, at any cost.  like Collymore was at the start of that season. Which unbalanced Yorke and Savo.

It's obviously fucking terrible to be the fans this is happening to, but it is kind of psychologically fascinating to witness how a result up in Machester can completely flip the morale of a club. I know there are lots of restrictions and reasons, but the life has just been sucked out of us*.

That's precisely what I said straight after that ridicules decision by the ref in the Man U game and the subsequent result, I said this could finish us, that one decision cost us 100ml, the champions League, PSR and the other garbage, we've been fined and threatened, we can't get the players we want to move on, that game will go down in infamy, has to.
