I hope I'm wrong, but that audio of him snapping at the Talksport reporter and also the program notes, I have a feeling that Unai will leave at the end of the season.

For someone so calm and composed, to see him starting to get so frustrated with the PSR stuff, I fear he will end up leaving sooner rather than later. Especially when he said he wasn't here to waste his time.

Like I said hope I'm wrong.

He certainly should not be involved in transfer dealings.  Hes been given free reign to bring his own people in, yet Monchi and Vidagany have proceeded to make a complete mess of our PSR situation by constantly selling players under value.  We should NOT have sold Luiz for such a ludicrously low offer, and the same goes for Duran.  Emery should be told to focus on coaching as that's what hes good at, keep out of the transfer dealings, and stop hiding behind PSR and SCR when his mates have caused it.

At least try to be subtle about it, you blatant nose.

BC stands for Black Country apparently, so other options then nose.

I don't think he is Nose. I do think he is performatively miserable, though, even compared to me. Pretending we got a bad deal with Durán as a desperate excuse to criticise the club is jumping thirty-seven sharks.

If he thinks we got a bad deal on Duran imagine how his Saudi team think right now.

True. I just hope whoever is Al Nassr's version of Monchi still has both his hands.

There's very few players we've sold since Unai came in whose value has increased. Rather than selling players under value we've tended to get max price for them.

Twelve months after we sold Luuiz he's being moved on for half what we got. Six months after we sold Duran he was given away. Such appalling business.

Some players just click when they are part of a certain pairing or team set up.

Luiz had spent a lot of time with us and never really shone (a worldy against Sheff Wed aside) It was really only the season he formed a partnership with Kamara and had Tielemans breathing down his neck did he really come to prominence.

And then when offered a nice contract, on the back of that single season, decided not to sign it.

Lets not think we lost a McGinn or a Mings or a Konsa - players that have done it regulary over seasons.

Anyways, it's the Don's weekly presser soon, batting away shit questions from local and national media. Stay tuned.

Luiz was our POTY the season before Tielemans arrived!

I always rated Dougie from the moment we signed him. He was a class above most of the squad but unfortunately used too deep for long periods due to injuries or no real number six.

Yep his form dip coincided with doing a role he wasn’t really suited to. The first half of that season and the second half of the preceding one he had been sensational.

I rated Luiz very highly too. For me his peak was higher than Tielemans as he brought goals, he carried Tielemans for months too when he first came. At times his application could certainly be questioned but that's where Emery was a great fit for him. Can't remember the game but Luiz had been outstanding scoring one if not two goals from midfield but Emery went after him in the post game interview. Luiz/Kamara at their peak, I'm struggling to think of many midfield battles we lost. There was definitely one game at Chelsea where Luiz took the piss out of their 200m midfield constantly.

Juve didn't work but I'm not sure how 'only' Forest have managed to land him. He's miles above Onana and Barkley, I reckon he takes Tielemans at his best.

According to the Beeb this afternoon, Unai was due to give a pre-match presser. He usually gives them on Fridays but I assumed he had changed tack this season for away games. There's been no quotes or videos since though so the BBC either got it wrong or Emery cancelled to sell the club to who... Richarlison or someone ?

Yeah Sky were saying yesterday lunchtime that they would have Unai's presser that afternoon. Assume it hasn't happened yet ?

Take penalties out of it and the differences between Luiz and Tielemans are so marginal it really comes down to personal preference.
